I like those running boards.

 

I really put them on to protect the doors from dents more than to be used as steps. They actually make it a little tough to get out without rubbing the back of your leg. They are also tough to wash behind. Overall I am happy with the look and the additional door protection.

I was torn between the Billet and White too but I see tons of white and never any Billet. Plus my Wife made the final decision because after all it is her truck!

 

Billet silver was my first choice especially with the red of the tail lights.

 

Do the running boards also help with tire spray?

I have white RT, next one will be billet. Looks great.

They help a little but I already have the OEM splash guards .....just have to install them. I have heard that in the winter the snow will actually cake on them and then like I said will rub on the back of your leg when getting out.

 

Thanks. I have the splash guards as well. Also need to get around to putting them on. Going to do same time as the hitch since the bumper needs to come off for that and would be easier to do together.

Man those SRT front ends/hoods are just INSANE. Changes the whole attitude of the truck.

Pretty easy to install. No drilling required uses all factory mounting holes for installation.

 

Very Nice. Congratulations! Factory holes so you can pop them on and off, not bad. I may be crazy for thinking this but do those running boards make this SUV look even tougher?

Thanks ... I ordered an RT in Vice White w/BlackTop package, thinking that the DeeZee’s in Black/Black make the most sense for my RT, curious others opinion. I just don’t really see any ‘chrome’ on the RT that I ordered. These running boards are nice, I prefer this look over the Mopar boards, appreciate the pics posted they are among the best on the web that I’ve seen anywhere, thanks!

 

Man lots of running board discussion lately. Believe I have these posted in 3 threads now, lol. Anyway great minds think alike, truck definitely looks meaner with the Dee Zee boards. Makes it appear wider and lower.

I have to admit they look fantastic and I'm not usually a fan of running board especially not on crossovers.

Are these the Dee Zee NXc? or NXt?

Do the running boards reduce ground clearance?

 

Wow, really sharp (on the Red R/T!)...just ordered a set, car still on order but these will be installed upon delivery! Sold

 

Do you have the part number for the Brackets you ordered, for the R/T? I just want to make sure that they are the correct ones when I order. I already went through ordering some Westin's that did not fit.

Hey thanks! Yes, Race Deck freeflow tiles. It was actually much less expensive than a proper professional 2 coat epoxy w/ urethane top coat which I really wanted but we were at the top of our budget when we built our home so this saved some. I'm happy with how it turned out. I installed it in less than a day. Snaps together easy as Legos and you only cut tiles on two walls. Here's a pic when it was empty and after cabinet install (NewAge) which is another budget minded choice that worked out.

Installing these on my 2018 RT today, and I notice that the mounting brackets Don’t quite clear the skirt. Did anyone else come across this? If so what was your fix?

 

In the picture you posted I notice the holes are horizontally slotted for adjustments, will the slotted holes be enough to clear the skirt?

 

the arm that holds the step clears, it's the mount that holds the arm that hits the skirt.

Do I just bend the skirt and live with it, or am I doing something wrong?

Will bending the skirt cause problems later on?

Anyone else encounter this?

 

I would just like to add, after screwing the mounting brackets down tight, it's not longer bending the skirt, simply touching it.

 

I just read the post and was about to respond that once you tighten them it should not be a problem. Glad you worked it out. Take some pics when they are on!
