Ok, I getting ready to replace the front brakes on the D?I need to know which pads you guys would recommend.
I'm up in the air about using the Hawk Performance pads or the EBC Green Stuffs.

Which ones are better?? Anyone have experience with using either of the two? :?

Thanks All!

Hawk HPS Pads

I've had my Hawk HPS pads on the D for about a year. For the last 4 months, it developed an irritating squeak with slow speed stops?such as parking.

On numerous occasions, I've taken the rotors and pads off to scuff them up with 50G sandpaper. Usually solves the problem for a few days.

I've had enough of the irritating squeak and decided to try the titaniumetallic Bendix pads.

I noticed the plastic anti-squeak isolator on the back of the inboard pads came off and stay stuck to the brake caliper piston. I've used the various other pads such as the Raybestos and stock. The isolator is rivited between the back of the pad and spring clip.

I'm just wondering if this was the cause of my squeaking! I've use the anti-squeak goop with all my cars with lots of success and its never been a problem.

Anyone else finding this a problem out there?? or has anyone else had a similar problem??

Most the time a squeak can be corrected with a couple hard panic stops (don't lock the wheels) from ~60 MPH. Obviously do it on a road with little to no traffic where laws permit the speed.

I've never found any of the so-called "anti-squeal" products to actually do what they claim.

Some pads will just squeak no matter what you do. It's just whatever compounds they use are hard or have too coarse of metal shavings in them.

So far, I haven't had anyone complain about the Bendix pads being noisy. One person commented that they were dusty, and blackened up the wheels quickly, but in the same sentence said how much better the pedal felt and how much more responsive the brakes were.
I guess it's a trade-off.

I've got PowerStop rotors and Hawk HPS pads on my Durango - great combination and definite improvement.

If you like Raybestos, I've got the Brute Stop rotors and Super Stop pads on my minivan. I wasn't concerned so much about the dusting but more the longevity with the stop and go driving that a family hauler does. Super Stop pads are semi-metallic.
