You may think, that all the totaled wrecks, listed at Carfax, will be dismantled and crushed - no way, they can expect a new life in Europe, quite often at clueless owners, got cheated by a reckless used car Mafia.
The Carfax wrecks were shipped to Lithuania to very capable car refitters.
Lithuania is ideal, because the man-hour is still quite cheap there - and it's an EU-country. With car papers as titles, issued in one EU-country, a registration in annother EU-country is no problem.

Repairing this Durango
is nothing compared with such hardcore stuff
The problem is, that these repairs are looking shiny, but often the car structure is still damaged and lost its stability - and that crook are selling these cars as regular used cars for appropriate prices.
So used US car imports have more and more a bad reputation. The fraud experts of insurances say, that 90% of used US car imports are coming via Lithuania to Europe - and 90% of these 90% are Carfax wrecks.
In the German Dodge Forum (for HEMI, mainly RAM, but also Durango, Challenger and Charger) we already had bitter tears, cried by cheatened new Dodge owners.
When I bought my Durango in August 2020, there were about a dozen 2011-2020 Durangos for sale in whole EU - now it's over 300 cars.
Note: the Durango was never officially exported to Europe.
The dealer has to say, that it's a repaired accident car, but usually there's just a small notice, hidden somewhere in the ad - but it's never said clearly, that it was a totaled wreck.
So I'm afraid about the Durango's reputation 🫤
I already started to think, when I see newer premium US cars, also Durangos "Hey, annother cobbled Carfax clunker with its cheated owner"
