Ive got to turn back in my Leaf (yes, I drive a Leaf and a DD RT). Leaf's been great around town, you can bounce it over curbs, door ding it, let the kids spill ice cream in it, easily park it, back into stuff, ect and NOT CARE 1 BIT ... all while the DD R/T is reserved for more serious missions and enjoys plenty of space in the garage.
So now I need something to replace the Leaf, and with Georgia now penalizing electric vehicle owners it just doenst make sense to lease another 1. Not to mention Im the only non-Indian male driving 1 of these things. After you crunch the #'s, and without Georgias $5K incentive, and with Georgias $200 penalty, you could by a 15 mpg $30K vehicle, drive it, gas it for 2 yrs, trade it back in, and come out ahead of the Leaf lease. All the while, not being seen in a Leaf. Sounds like a no brainer.
The wife wants a smaller SUV, so I was checking out the Grand Cherokee, and the Audi Q5. What do you guys think ? Looking to spend around $30K, < 30K miles. Need room for 5 just for around town, but small enough that its easy to maneuver. The larger this is, the more dents it will come back with when the wife drives it. Kinda digging those Q5's. Also saw a diesel JGC tonight, those are nice too but maybe a touch larger than I want. Also like the 528i if we go sedan ... theres lots for sale. What else is there ... explorer ... CX5 or CX9, MDX, pathfinder ... have to decide pretty soon or my beloved DD R/T will be placed into regular service and I cant have that, its too nice for grunt duty.
