I am all of a sudden having multiple misfires all at once out of nowhere so I’m assuming a common cause. Hadn’t changed spark plugs or air filter in awhile even though I doubted it would fix the problem so I did both and that of course that didn’t fix it. While putting everything back together I noticed this wire hanging loose. Looks like the end became damaged and probably vibrated off over time. Can’t figure out where to connect it back to. Wondering if I did it while replacing plugs or if maybe that might be my problem. Anybody know where this goes?

That's not factory. It's an add on inline fuse holder for add on accessories. Seriously doubt it would solve your problem. Also because it is a ring terminal you didn't just bump it off. Since I can see the positive battery terminal in the picture that was where it had to have been attached at one point and purposely removed.

Perfect. Thanks for the help. Any thoughts on what might cause multiple misfires starting to happen all at once? Car runs fine at first but problem gets worse and turns into knocking the longer I drive. If I sit still for awhile the process repeats.

Agreed , it looks like a aftermarket trailer wire or rear lighting or something. I know I saw that exact wire before , not on a Durango but something aftermarket. Maybe a Stereo wire I can't remember.
