Just curious,

We have called our cars things like "Myrtle" "Betsy" and I think we named more than one "Please Lord".

What have you named your Durango?

Ours is named dizzy, but lately with her getting old it's more bitchie.
The magnum has a name, although I don't remember, the challenger is named "Evangeline".
All the names came from Wife.
The Ram I named big broth(er)a, cause I had its little brother, way back when.

We call it "the Durango", or sometimes by it's first name, "the Dodge".

My wife's Jeep has an equally clever name. We call it "the Jeep".

I know, I'm no fun at all.

Say what you will about the Prius being unpatriotic, but it is a great car. When I bought mine I received quite a bit of grief from the club here, but I think I fixed with the following statement: My D was my daily driver since I bought it in '99. In 2005 I bought a Prius. The difference in my fuel bill for the month from driving the D paid for the fuel, paid the Prius car payment and put money into my savings account. You can't beat that with the biggest flag available. Also, the Prius has been the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned, regardless of brand.

In this global economy it's hard to argue against them. While they're not the saviors of the world some trumpet them as, they're also not evil and unpatriotic. Any more these days, a car's a car. Many American brands are built outside of the US, and many foreign nameplates are built right here. I'm confused. I'm going to take a nap.

I think I've settled on Surtr (A giant sized demon/god from Norse mythology) as the name for mine. I usually go for feminine names, but Surtr (sometimes spelled Surtur) fits a big, red and mean looking SVU like mine.
