Well today I attempted my first oil change since I bought the DD last month. Epic fail. Apparently the guy that put the drain plug back in used a 3/4” impact to do it. I’ve tried everything but a torch and it won’t budge. So it’s going to the dealer for this one and I’ll do it myself after I suppose.

Got the oil changed and new drain plug installed today. Best $48 I’ve spent in a while. Hopefully they didn’t over tighten the new plug and I’ll take it from here.

I've thought about a remote oil filter mount for both the 07 and 14 Hemi. Did GM 305 & 350s for decades and loved the vertical filter!! Why on earth they could do a better job is beyond me!

 

Power Steering Repair

I replaced the high pressure power steering hose this weekend.

No more pin hole leak in the main hose.

Debadged the trunk and stupid dealer badge, put the permanent plate on it, cleaned up the paint where the "DURANGO AWD" left ghost letters.

 

Started buying all the stuff to do paint correction and apply CQuartz UK ceramic coating and ordered a set of Max Liner floor mats.

 

Drove it to the Pocono Raceway park to Drive a Z06 on a road course.

 

Transferred over the front and middle row weather techs, personal crap and license plate from the RT to the SRT [emoji51]

First Post

I added 4" APS running boards last week. My kid is super excited he can climb into his car seat now all by himself.

 

Installed the SRT style pedals and the SRT style foot rest pedal

 

Changed my DD's oil filter yesterday. Hope it won't lead to more problems

 

Tinted the tails and got the windows tinted.

Nice. I just did the back/rear brakes yesterday and surprised how easy the job was. 65K miles new pads and rotors.

I called the wrecker to tow her away to the scrap dealer.
Blown cylinder head gasket . The block was so eroded we couldn't get her to seal up no matter how we tried or what we did.

Started to replace interior stock lights with LED lights buuuuut realized i don’t think I can swap out the map lights. Also couldn’t figure out how to remove covers for the middle & 3rd row dome lights. Guess I’ll be swapping them back and leaving them stock ?

Installed white warning strobes on the taillight fixtures. I still have to wire them up to the isolation adapter (so the computer won't know they're there and report a hazard lamp out or some such). But the "machine work" is done.
