Here's a thread that I see on a lot of car forums that is pretty fun to look through.

So, what did you do today? It can be anything from a fresh wash to ordering new parts!

Here is a new clip I did. But to get the Borla Stype from an SRT you still have to modify the pipes to work. Since Jeep doesn't have spare under the car they cut in to much to the spare. So they had to do custom pipes. Install only costed me 150 total.

I got an inspection done. Due to an accident last year, I am pursuing a Diminished Value claim with my insurance company. I did the Kelley Blue Book thing online, but needed and inspection to see what the value would be after $12K in repairs. Went to KBB participating (non-Dodge) dealership where they "inspected" it for about 45 minutes. Under the KBB "Instant Cash Offer" program, they said they could cut me a check that day for $16,000. Not interested in selling, but at least this gives me a starting point for my claim. NOT! They would not give me anything in writing! So I found a local appraisal company that will do a detailed report, take pictures, and compare what my Durango was worth at the time of the accident (about $29K) and what it would have been worth today if there had been no accident. On the phone, the appraiser was surprised that my year Durango (2011) was holding it's value. It was pretty well optioned when I bought it CPO in Nov. 2012. I researched these appraisal companies and feel comfortable with the company I chose. Just crunching some numbers, they came up with $4,700 in diminished value. That might go up, depending on what comparables are in my area.

Photos of the day it was towed to repair facility, the day body the work and paint was complete (after frame straightening and sub-frame repair), and (when I finally got it back from the repair facility) the day after I had ceramic coating applied. I wanted to protect the new finish.

Good luck with the DV claim. I'm currently going through same thing. I have a 16 rt and was hit 2 days after driving it off the lot. Insurance companies do not like to pay fair/common sense diminished value. They've denied my claim twice after sending a check for 2 grand lower than fair market DV appraisal. I'll see them in court. If the initial check they send you isn't acceptable DO NOT cash it. Good luck!

Installed intake on my 2011 Crew and purchased Go Rhino boards for my 2014 Limited

Purchased it!... well the bank's letting me drive it until it's paid off anyway.

I've gotta say, I've owned a number of vehicles in my time and after around 6 months of research I was ready to bite the bullet and settle on a used Pilot (VCM issues and all). But after plenty of visits to this forum as well as infinite positive reviews and chats with other owners I decided to give the Durango a chance. This morning I had 2 appointments...one with a 2014 Pilot EX CPO and one with a 2016 Durango Limited V6 AWD CPO (13K Miles)....never made it up to Honda and couldn't be happier.

Coming weeks I'll be getting some weather tech or husky liner floor mats, splash guards, touch up paint, and tinting the front glass.

I finally had the time to remove the side "Citadel" badges. I don't mind the "Dodge" and "Citadel" badges on the rear, but the side badges always annoyed me (overkill). I like the profile view much better now (my Stormtrooper is complete!). Anyway, I thought I'd share what I did in case it helps anyone. I used some fishing line to remove the letters. Then I did my best to peel the remaining adhesive from the corner and rolled it. It's been on there for a couple years, so there was no way to get it all off this way. I then soaked the leftover adhesive with some Goof Off. After a couple minutes, I rubbed the adhesive with some microfiber cloths. After that, it's just a matter of wetting the cloths with more Goof Off and rubbing the remaining adhesive back and forth until it all comes off. Don't forget the rubber gloves, mask, and ventilation.

Yesterday I replaced the large 2nd row console with the mini walk through one. Super simple and love it. Also finally put on my UPR catch can:

Wish I would have spent extra on the nicer ones with clear canister and better fittings but this should do.
Then I practiced with plastidip on my truck in preparation for blacking out my front grille:

Very good! Any interest in selling your 2nd row console that you removed?

Thanks
Chris

You would need to remove your armrests to use the full console

By the way thanks for the pointers on the console swap. Super easy and trimming the posts off was no problem. I did look into trying to get the power remounted on the mini one but didn't look like an easy task. Definitely makes it seem like their is more room back there now and pass through to 3rd row is real nice. The floor mat doesn't fit quite right but that's ok until I get a 3rd row husky floor liner.

Over the last week I upgraded to the black bezel headlights, blacked out the chrome fog light bezels, added mud flaps and got a cheap set of factory 20s.

Should I leave the wheels chrome or get them powder coated hyper black and black out the chrome accent trim pieces???

My plan is to do my own "blacktop" package at some point. For now, I plasti dipped the grill black and the bottom chrome bumper lip white. It was my first time doing this so the results, up close, were not that greatest, but the overall look came out like I was hoping. In the near future I will get all the black trim painted to match the bright white and get some black wheels.

Your grill looks great! I want to do the same to mine. How did you go about using he plastidip? Spray? Primer? Was he grill difficult to remove/replace?
Thanks

Nice! Hey, how long did it take for your black personalized plates to get to you? Its been a bit over 2 months and I still havent heard anything from the DMV. I was wondering how these new black plates would look like on the D, glad I ordered them. Looks good!

No prob! Just take your time, also, keep the can in warm water and make sure you shake it really good before spraying, again, I learned that after the fact. Its supposed to give you a finer spray. Anyways, good luck and like I said, if you mess up, its no biggie, you can peel it right off! :-D

Yes thin welting with long tails. I initially vinyl wrapped all the trim pieces and it looked ok at best...I then removed all teh door panels and dash pieces and undid the plastic welds. I removed all of them and gave to my body shop who prepped and painted them all in my paint code. When completed I reassembled the door panels and dash pieces went back in. I brought the truck to the guy who paint pinstriped the outside and asked him to carry the theme inside as well and he did.
