Left the Carbon Fiber weave clear coated the hood.

Hand wash and dry. Nice night for a picture.

 

IMO the red MGP caliper covers with the engraving of your choice would look great on your D.

 

Oil change and Legmake CAI install

 

Oil change and mirror tap (unsuccessful) for radar detector. Found the issue with the wire tap and will reinstall this week.

 

Also got the wire harness activated and will be towing for the first time this weekend.

Whatever the legal tint is here in KS. Which I believe is 35%. I was visiting with my neighbor and I looked over and the way the sun was setting really brought out the red. So naturally I had to take a pic. [emoji3]

 

I contacted a tuner and made a list of things I need for a what I hope fill be a weekend project: coolant, loctite, some more shop towels, and a set of metric allen sockets.

 

I ordered an LMI CAI and SRT style start/stop button. Removed the "Durango" and "AWD" badges from the rear hatch. Leaving the "R/T" on....at least for now!

 

Added the red SRT/Viper starter button

I installed my Volant air intake kit and also installed Gibson mufflers. Tomorrow my wheels will be here and I'll connect the trailer brake controller.
Do you have to have the dealer activate anything for the brake controller?

On my way to a client site I thought I would stop and get a few pictures of the Durango with the Chicago Skyline in the background, but since the skyline was towards the east all I got was super dark pictures of my Durango. I did get amazing pictures of the skyline at sunrise though.

I'm interested to know what you think of the Volant CAI. I'm trying to decide between the Volant and the Legmaker. I like the Volant because it's semi enclosed. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated.

 

Got the wheels mounted. Had the rims painted GCM, which I thought would be a bit lighter to provide some contrast, but oh well. Still look good, but just wanted to them pop a little more.

Thanks guys. The wheels are 22x9 with +35 offset. Tires are nitto 420s 275 / 40 r22. Got the rims at doubledmods.com and the tires at discounttiredirect. Cheapest place I could find after taking shipping and tax into acct

 

Put a used ac compressor in mine today.
First time in about 2 years I have had ac.
So happy it's working great and all is well.

Mopar CAI is installed and Today Black Betty got her first car wash. Ammo cleanser, Hydrate and Microfiber dry, and skin to seal it all up. I Love when a black car is clean!

 

Did a few things under the hood.
Still trying to figure out the intermittent random misfire code.
Today got a p0740.
All underhood fuse boxes were replaced the end of last year as was the interior junction block and I'm thinking that code is something electrical with the torque converter.

Its been driving awesome and hasn't really misfired.
Changed out the spark plugs 2 nights ago and got rid of the autolite coppers and put in the Bosch platinum 2's.

 

Washed, clayed, waxed.... and rained on. At least I got "Great White" waxed before the storm...
