What did you do to your Durango today?

Here's a thread that I see on a lot of car forums that is pretty fun to look through.

So, what did you do today? It can be anything from a fresh wash to ordering new parts!

What is it? A light controller?
It's a LED light pod...Maybe the old owner kept it under the hood for when they worked on the truck......just hook it up to the fusebox/ground terminal for some extra light
LED light. I’d think they he had ditch lights but nothing on driver’s side. They did a good job with switch, well sorta, passenger side of console is loose.

That will not protect you from things you can't see as you can't stare at the mirror all day. Get the tint removed.
The objects displayed on the mirror are very noticeable as you drive down the road. Even in my peripheral view, it is very safe. By the time a car leaves the cameras wide angle, it's already at my driver's window. There is no point where my side mirrors, this camera, or my own eyes are preventing me from seeing a vehicle.

Your comment doesn't make sense, so I'm assuming you weren't understanding that this works better than a rearview mirror, as it's not blocked by passengers, seats, pillars, cargo, etc.

That is up until you hit someone. I read a stat recently that the majority of dash cams, for example, that are referenced in collision investigations show the camera driver at fault more than the other drivers involved.

You must be really bad at driving to be projecting this much on a car forum.

I know how to drive, thank you very much for your comments.
Nah, I just have common sense and only have the factory tint on my rear DD windows which is still too much at night. I would love a tint that goes clear at night. None of my other vehicles even have tint for that matter. I still have to be very careful in my truck due to the service body on it and my Charger has horrible outward vision because of the low body style. I wouldn't even try to look at a camera image on my mirror or my dash, for that matter, while I'm trying to change lanes or something of that sort. I drove 35 years for a living and never had an accident except for a kid that spun his car out at a wet intersection while I waited for the light to change.
Sometimes what people think is common sense is inexperience.

I guess driving cars with window tint my whole life has conditioned me to be aware of my road presence and traffic flow around my vehicle as I drive. I've had a lowered genesis coupe, BMW M3, and now an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Low body style doesn't seem to be an issue for me.
Call it what you want but I have zero points on my license so I qualify for common sense. I also don't believe in social media, ghosts, any political parties, "reality" tv, that Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are up to doing good things, that everyone who can work will work, that Hellcats are worth the money, or that I will have enough money to retire on. I do believe in the faith that my grandchildren might be able to survive earth in their lifetimes and maybe even fix what we all fucked up.

Got the Durango all cleaned up to go to the dealer for its WV state inspection so we can take the VA Temp Tags off and put our WV plate on. I also made up my mind that I am going to go ahead and change my oil. Next on the list is ZL1 splash guards and next big mod will be switching over to power stops. I am already tired of the "SRT" (Brembo) brake pads.
Gotta ask, what is tiring you on them, the brake dust?

Not today, but yesterday I installed the Eibach RSB and now I'm gathering parts needed to slap on some Kooks long-tubes!
Nice man! Finally getting it going!

Look like some kind of led lights. Do they ever turn on?
Yeah it works. Jammed in hole for cabin filter. With that and shitty strobing aftermarket interior bulbs, no idea how this car passed as “certified preowned”

and it’s strange cuz on my 4Runner I had those exact same led light pods I used for ditch lights. Loved that thing, supercharged lifted beefy everything, slow as f&$k but I miss it.

What state? Oklahoma finally updated their system so you can search and approve a plate before it's submitted. Still takes forever though, I'm at 9 weeks and counting.

West Virginia, you can go onto the site and see if the plate you are looking for is already taken. You then have the opportunity for three choices. Then once approved it takes 60 days to get a plate.

Made an appointment with my professional detailer for April 1st for paint correction, paint sealant, then two-layer ceramic coating. I will be getting my windows, wheels, barrels and calipers ceramic coated as well. I can't wait to share the results.
