Took it to work on its one-day-per-week commute duty and passed 143000 miles. Runs like new. Road trip next week, should be a blast.
It's funny. A few years ago, I bought a used 09 Volvo XC90 for around $25000. It was slow, the ride was horribly harsh and it had around $2000 worth of repairs under warranty in the two years I had it. Traded it in in 2014. Late last year, I bought the 01 Durango. $2600. The ride isn't amazing, but better than the Volvo, it has much more get up and go because while the HP ratings are similar, V8 vs inline 6 means it's no contest in the TQ department. I have RWD full time, and four wheel drive HI and LO on demand, something I love. The Volvo was FWD with automatic AWD in slippery conditions (no on demand option!) and it was 10 TIMES more expensive. I like the Durango 10 times more than the Volvo so it's a 100-fold upgrade!
