It’s official. I canceled my order and I’m getting a refund of my deposit.

Long story short is like many of you have been waiting for a long time for this to become available and made every effort to get one ordered on November 6, which I did. But it has been pushed back again and I already sold my SRT Durango in mid March when they told me it was about to be shipped. Now I’m looking at May.
I am not a fan of how they did not prioritize sold orders. And I’m not a fan of how this process has worked and the complete lack of communication.

this hellcat is absolutely amazing and I wish you all the best and will continue to read about your exploits! I am going a different direction and purchasing a competitor from the performance SUV segment. Picking it up Saturday.

Pretty much loaded it up since this may be a long term one- as I am nearing retirement.
sport package with the rear diff, active roll stabilization an rear steering, plus all the other goodies in the lux package.
it is no Hellcat, but C/D timed at at 3.6 to 60 and I have already seen a vid of one running 11.8 stock. But the handling is other worldly and there is already a great tune available by the same company that added 100 HP to my RS5.
I am excited- but I can’t lie- bummed about the DDHC. The way the Audi guys treat you when your spending this kind of money is just Mars and Venus to what I got from Dodge. Being a brand loyalist and mega repeat client got me nowhere.

I am also jumping from my '18 DDSRT to an 2021 Audi RSQ8. Was originally trading my SRT for the Hellcat however my dealer in Toronto is charging close to 140k. For that price, so many other options in my opinion that will retain value better. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed my DDSRT however I just cannot justify paying that much for one. Not to mention from the previous reply, the service and care you get from a luxury german brand is next to none. Just looking forward to taking delivery in July for the my monster.

SRT:
As much of a Dodge fan as I am, I don't blame you a bit. If I was spending that kind of money, I would not expect to be treated as you were. In reality, it should not matter how much one is spending. In the end, it's all about customer service. Something that seems to be going the way of common sense these days.

A dealer can make or break the car buying experience. More and more, it seems that the manufacturers could care less once the car leaves the factory, unless it gets into their pocket book.

Yes- that is the kicker. They prioritized dealers over brand loyalists who are mega repeat clients like me- who placed order the first hour the ordering opened.
there is a VIN, but it is still not built.

also- I called on handful of them in the south here that are on the internet for MSRP. Everyone put me on hold or emailed me back and the price was marked up $20K.

I am obviously willing to go get it as evidenced by the fact that I’m flying to Atlanta on Saturday to drive nine hours back home with my new SQ8. I just couldn’t find a dealer who wasn’t greedy.

There are a LOT of people with day one orders that haven't gotten theirs yet. They didn't solely build the sold orders first, which is poor customer service for sure, especially in the internet age when everyone can see who is getting theirs and finding out when they ordered or if they ordered at all. There are people who ordered in January and have already had theirs delivered weeks ago. There are people that bought available units off of lots, all while others who visited their dealership on November 6th with cash in hand are still waiting. It has been a garbage process for many.

Damn dude, this thread actually has me feeling bad for you man. I am very disappointed in Stellantis for this man. Even though it wasnt in my budget to get a Hellcat, I feel for ya as If I had ordered one. Id have to admit id be feeling the same exact way right now after all this. I may have to make a special video about this on my youtube channel to bring attention to this issue. I think if enough people speak out and Stellantis heres this then they may actually change but right now it totally sucks. If I can use your info man please let me know. Thanks MattySRT

Hey- don’t feel bad. That is not the intention of my posting here. I love the hellcat Durango and I love talking to fellow enthusiast, and I am super happy for every single one of you who gets one of these!
A collectors item in my opinion and one hell of a vehicle.
I will be just fine as I am picking up my Audi SQ8 tomorrow. No reason to feel sorry for somebody who can do that and it will quickly have ceramic coating, aftermarket tune which makes it an excess of 680 hp, and catless down pipes.

relatively speaking, I am so blessed and feel so lucky to be able to do that.

My only point here is it was very challenging to be such a enthusiast for so many years -starting in 05 when I got my first SRT vehicle, and drooling over this hellcat since the announcement was made, only to see this process so poorly executed, and to see the actual SRT fans put in the background for dealership shenanigans and corporate profit.

I actually feel bad for Dodge and SRT because I was so loyal for so long and I’m sure there are many others like me.

that does not take away from the bad ass vehicle you all are getting and I will drool every time I see one! We are all lucky to be around at a time where this car is even possible.

Maybe I can make someone's day. In 2009 I purchased a new Challenger SRT 6spd. Had it ten years when I finally said enough of the manual trans. Went to the local dealer to order a 2019 Durango SRT when they showed me one they had just received. I bought it, that was Dec 8, 2018. It was DB Black ext. with most options, the most notable exception was leather. I paid $73k and change for it. Today it has almost 3,000 mi on it, never sat a day outside, and has been carefully maintained by a former Tech who is me. I'm selling it because it just doesn't fit me like my wider Challenger. Otherwise, it is a great vehicle. So here is the bottom line: KBB has the value at $62,918 I'll take $56,000 Vehicle is in Boise ID and this forum is the first to learn it is for sale. Please no games, I'm serious so please, you be also.

It's just disappointing all the way around when you are buying one of the most expensive vehicles that Dodge has ever made. The communication has been awful and to see people pick them up off dealer lots and order them in January and are driving them around is extremely disappointing to an enthusiast who promotes the brand everywhere they go. I'll be getting mine in the next few weeks, but it's been a frustrating process, especially when your finances are being held hostage by an unknown date of arrival.
While I'm not happy about the process, I'm even more upset at losing others like SRTRS5 that were ambassadors for the brand, yet will no longer be due to a crappy process that should be easier to navigate and provide much better customer service from a brand that supposedly takes their enthusiasts seriously and speaks so much about their loyalty to their customers. Hopefully, SRTRS5...you will own one of these down the road. There will come a time when my disease won't allow me to drive any longer in the near future and I hope my Durango Hellcat will go to an enthusiast like you.

I agree, I was pretty ticked off when someone who ordered at the end of December, had theirs delivered around the middle of February, and mine hadn't even been built, even though I ordered on November 7th . . . they should have prioritized the builds by the date ordered and they didn't

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear that the process caused ‘bad blood’ but we all get it. At this price point, even though my dealership has been great, there are elements of the experience that are not present. For me it has worked out, my order went in on day 1 of acceptance and I managed to pick it up last week. I am grateful that it came.... ended up loosing on my trade in with by ‘18 DDSRT, but.... I love it.

Hope you enjoy your Audi, it looks like a beast.
