I forget what time we usually roll out of the hotel for the showfield. What do we aim for 8? 9? What do we actually achieve after herding all the wayward folks?

My BIL will be rolling in from VA Friday morning and I'm trying to figure out whether to aim him at Carlisle or Mechanicsburg??

I'm in. The Mechanicsburg Diner is where I've been going for breakfast every Carlisle I've been to, even when the hotel room came with breakfast. Good food, good folks. Unfortunately Google tells me they had a fire last December and, as of last week, aren't yet reopened (tho apparently the signs say "coming soon")

If they're not open, there's a relatively new "diner" on Carlisle Pike we can try. I don't know what else is around there??

 

With the last minute addition, I'm outside the window to get my parking assignment mailed to me so I'll have to pick them up at the office on Fri morning. But I got my receipt in the mail today!

I'm OK with breakfast. Like I said, Sat and Sun I'm solo so breakfast on the way in, lunch at Durangoville, and dinner TBD. Why do I have the feeling that a 2nd round of Hooters in Mechanicsburg may be on the horizon.

change of plans for me. I'll be there early Sat morning instead of Fri. I have to help get the city ready for America's largest 15k, The Boilermaker. it sucks that it falls on the same weekend as ACN every year; I'd like to catch the race as well. last year over 13,000 runners from 49 states and runners from every other part of the globe. this race is a sight to see.

 

I have FREE weekend parking pass for a Durango to join us at Carlisle. Let me know who wants it and I'll bring it with me.

Wait, as in park with y'all? I'd take it. I was actually going to pass this year because it was going to cost me too much money with my very limited income. But if I can get a free pass, I'll be there!

I was teetering for a bit on getting Thursday night at the hotel so I could be on the showfield as early as possible Friday morning, but I wasn't sure if it was even possible for me to make changes to my reservation this late in the game. I'm also cutting it close with money this year so I probably couldn't swing the extra $130. Still, I'm leaving home early Friday morning around 5am or so which should get me to Carlisle sometime around 10am.

So what does our current attendance roster look like?

Call my cell when you get near and I'll get you taken care of by meeting at the gate, etc.

Hello Gang!

Loaded up and ready to roll. I'll work 1/2 day tomorrow and then hit the road. Traveling from Indianapolis, I have to leave today to work it all in with drive times. I break the trip up getting there over two days, however coming home is a single mega-session back. Historically, it's wheels up and westward bound from Carlisle on Sunday at noon. (Some of the best DOC photos are Sunday morning BTW. )

Request: Attendees? everyone please bring a bag or two of ice when you arrive.

Very safe travels and God's blessings along the way for everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
