While driving to work the truck stopped accelerating. It starts and shifts through gears but won't move in drive. Recently replaced waterpump and thermostat, flushed radiator and did oil change, continued to overheat until incident. Does anyone know what's going on?

Not enough information. Year, miles, engine to start with. You probably didn't burp all of the air out of the cooling system and then it overheated and you might have hurt it big time.

I had an ignition coil go bad once + it acted like what you're describing.

No it no longer drives. It's starts fine though.

Have you checked your transmission fluid level?

As mentioned, make sure that the trans fluid is at the proper level. The 4.7L cooling system requires a burping procedure to get all of the air out. Until this is done correctly, you will overheat, and possibly cause major engine damage.

Is your D RWD, or AWD? You say that it won't move in Drive. Will it move at all? What about Reverse, or manually putting the lever into 2 or 1?

From the sound of it, you have more than one issue going on here.

In the past, I have seen the linkage connection to the transmission shift lever become disconnected on many vehicles. It was a very common and simple fault to fix on some Chevy and GMC suv's. While I've not seen it happen to your specific model of Dodge but it is still something you should probably check for this symptom.
