I have a piece of trim coming loose from the back window. It's just above where the rear wiper is and I can't seem to find the part # for a replacement. How's it held on? Anyone else had a problem with it before?
It really just smooths the air/water flow over the window edges and keeps water from getting forced in through a weak spot in the sealant for the window if there are any. Just makes it look cleaner.
When I was wrenching, we used this 3m stuff known as "Gorilla Snot". IIRC, it comes in black and yellow, will stick till the D falls apart and dries very hard? so don't get it on anything you don't want it on. Silicone would be much more forgiving.
