So I noticed a slight drop of transfer case fluid on the transfer case. I thought I had a leak around the drain plug so I started watching it over the last few days. I'm guessing a drop of fluid leaks every few days or so. I couldn't find exactly where the leak was until tonight. It appears there's a slight hole in the case itself. It's a gouge out of the case - see attachments. I didn't believe that's where the leak was, but holding a paper towel up to the gouge results in transfer case fluid on it. This has got to be a tiny, tiny hole. How can I fix it? Solder? I'd never have thought a gouge this small would have resulted in a leak! The truck has never taken a hard hit to that area so I'm at a loss as to what caused it.
