I have a problem with my 2014 V8 5.7 Durango which I posted about before and still not resolved. There are times when starting out or slowing down it will now shift out of 1st. When I shift to "N" it will shift and be normal from then on.
When we still lived in KS 2 years ago the local dealer could not find a problem, so no fix. Now I'm starting to have a problem (3 times so far) when coming out of park or changing from R to D it will not go in gear. So far we have been able to get to go in gear by cycling through P or N, but it usually takes 3-5 times.
We have a appointment with local Dodge dealer, but they can't tell you anything till you get it in the shop.
It kind of scares me to think we could get stuck at a nasty time or place. I haven't found any recalls for this problem. Anyone else have this problem?

How many miles on the truck and how has it been used, towing, hard driving or just average?

It has 93,000 miles and about 25,000 miles are towing a Oliver travel trailer that weighs about 5,000 lbs. I am a old buzzard (74) and am a pretty conservative driver. One thing I didn't do and just thought of it, was to shut the car off then restart and see if it goes in gear.

Stan, I think it's due for a transmission fluid & pan/filter change, the recommended interval from ZF for vehicles that don't tow is between 50,000 & 75,000 miles.
