New 2025 Durango GT NAV only has night mode, Dealer says its that way for the Durango’s, what gives?

They give you night mode only and you will like it.

Gather around children and let me tell you about the time I had Day Mode in my NAV, it was a glorious time.
One day a FUconnect update came along and it was if Day mode never existed.

Unfortunately that is the way it is for now and probable unforeseeable future, no explanation provided.
At least I got to experience it for a while.... ahhh memories...

It is NOT night mode. It is a dark theme which also has a night mode. Try it, you will see a very slight difference in look when the headlights come on.
The mode sucks, period! Dodge is brain dead and deaf to what the consumer wants. All the big exec boys at Dodge care about their compensation, nothing more nothing less.

I think there should be an option for normies who like light themes. Lol, I actually love the dark theme... Matches the rest of my devices.

It was weird when you sit in Jeep and open the theme page to see the different screens, then sit in the Durango and open the theme page. My Durango has the Blacktop package which really helps the GT look better as the lowest trim, I thought maybe that was part of the issue. The only upside is, you can use apple play maps and like it, but I prefer SAT/NAV. My 2019 3500 SRW HD 12” NAV screen really sucked. I spent hours playing with it while on a couple of cross country drives, and never really got it to be user friendly. I’ll be using Apple Play anyway, unless there is no cell service. I hope they update it soon, back to a normal NAV screen. I’m sure they'er hearing about it now, my dealer didn’t know about it and spent an hour with me looking at Jeeps vrs Durango NAV screens, and I don’t think I am the first around the country going back to the dealers looking for support.

You're spitting into the wind. Dodge doesn't give a crap what the customer wants or thinks. The dealers just play dumb because, well, they are mostly dumb. And they don't give a crap either. Regardless of how UC5 might work in another vehicle line, the DD is not going to change and Dodge isn't going to change it. It's been this way since UC5 came out in 2021. And be glad you didn't have to go through that disaster rollout. A blacktop package has nothing to do with it either.

I would disagree about customer complaints changing policy, but it has to be a lot of feed back. When I get the survey from Dodge, you bet it will be in my comments. But if I’m the minority complaining, your correct about Dodge not caring. Its such a minor thing to either change it or leave it.

When you are driving during sunny day, in California, you really can't see anything (like street names, etc) on dark mode screen.
I hate this Tom Tom technology!
It's not Tom Tom, it is Dodge. Dodge, regardless of what all the internet rag sites say, DOES NOT listen to the customer.
If they did, the 1st thing would be fixing their broken dealership network! These dealers are run by goons of a bygone era.
Stellantis is not consumer friendly. There I said it!
