After having the 32x11.50R15 Cooper Discoverer STT Mud Terrains on the truck since October 2008, I can safely say I've ran them to their limit. :lol: Kinda scary this winter with them, though.

For my review, I'll say these tires were remarkable in everything I threw at them. I never got stuck in the mud (of course I don't try to do that? it's no fun digging yourself out of a mud hole) however I did get stuck in the snow once. I was driving around in a snow storm that produced around 2.5 - 3 feet of snow and, at the time, the tires were about a year old and had around 80% tread left. I couldn't see where I was going so I was kind of guessing and felt like I went off course a bit so, like a fool, I stopped and managed to hang it up. The snow was being plowed up to my headlights when I stopped and I was luckily able to clear some of it out around the D and started rocking back and forth to get it going. I never had to be towed though.
Snow driving was great as long as you didn't attempt to stop. Even the SMALLEST amount of snow accumulation on the ground would cause it to slide. I only have rear ABS (which I don't think does a damn thing) so generally I was able to control it pretty easily. I have Goodyear Wrangler RT/S's on my '01 and that would stop effortlessly in the same conditions without even tripping the 4-wheel ABS on the '01. This doesn't affect my rating anyway since these tires weren't designed to be a snow tire.
I was able to get 35,000 miles out of these tires, which for a sticky mud terrain tire is not half bad. Not to mention I really never treated them that well. :lol:

I give the Cooper Discoverer STT's a SOLID 8.5 out of 10 and would buy them again no questions asked. The only reason I didn't was I wanted something a little different this time so I decided to go with the Kumho Road Venture MT KL71's in 285/75R16 (I plan to mount them on my spare 16" stock rims.) Out the door price was $208/tire from Discount Tire Direct with free shipping. :thumbsup:
