Hello all. I posted my build back in 2016. 5.7l R//t. Installed and tuned eldlebrock e force supercharger, tb, headers, exhaust. Suspension, big brake kits, fuel system, and hp tuners engine management tuning. Premier complete auto performance did the install and tuning. Made great power of 523whp and 520 tq. 8.5 psi And straight pipe made a little more. Engine has 68k and time to be competitive against the hellcats and Trackhawks!
This is what we got coming!
400 stroker shortblock with forged crank, rods and pistons. ARP main studs. New built block with balanced and blueprinted rotating assembled. race bearings seals etc.
BES stage 4 ported heads.
Custom cam package.
cometic head gaskets. ARP head studs.
105 mm tb.
full port job on the e force 2.6 supercharger.
Even bigger fuel system and lines.
1000 I’d injectors. Coil packs.
over drive crank pulley and smaller pulley to make 16 psi. They have done similar packages and made 830-860 whp. But never on a durango. My tuner is estimating 810-830 whp.
next summer I will need up the converter even more with billet transfer case and axles/ driveshaft and Use 21-22 psi pulley and shoot for over 900 whp. I’ll keep everyone up to date on this build. I know I’m crazy but this is another 23k I just paid into the build install and tune. So I guess over all upgrades will be 55-60k we have done in upgrades .

Nothing yet we was waiting for the crankshaft. Block is ready heads are ready. I’m running ptfe -8 my lines come on the driver side corner, connects into the front driver Side fuel rail, backs connect and front passenger is where the regulator and the return system. A lot of damn fuel lines. It was about 4500.
I believe he will be starting in a few weeks. Adam said he’s gonna post pictures of the build on his Instagram. Teamspankintime.

HHP will build you a 440. If you go to HHP Racing you can see all their engine packages.
HHP is who I am working with. They are just 1 state away :).

Josh is good peoples and so are the rest of the guys.

Ok nevermind sale is pending already for the supercharger.
Hello Steve,
Very impressive work and great pictures. Where is your build today. I am looking at a similar path but going with a forged BGE 6.4L long block 392ci drop-in swap with ported heads, cam, 2.9L Whipple with 18%OD main pulley and 3.5" Whipple pulley to start. let me know your thoughts. Whipple kit comes with 63lb injectors that can go higher with increased pump pressure setting. Thanks!

OK. That makes sense. The best scenario is probably the simplest one. A higher flow in-tank pump that does not require a booster and right sized injectors that do not require higher pressures is probably ideal. I guess at some point the restriction may end up being the fuel lines at much higher HP. What is the estimated safe HP your beefed up 8HP70 can handle?

#75 ·
Exactly. What happens if your battery or alternator decided to take a shit on ya under full throttle pull. Yeah don’t risk it. My trans has handled 800 whp easily for the last year and 12k miles. Just get a fore twin fuel pump drop in. Lots out there sell it. It slowly walked my redeye. But she’s stock.

#77 ·
Awesome. Some people don't realize a low voltage condition can could make you go lean while your supercharger is pumping like normal. Thanks for the great info. HHP likes to use Paramount for their trans upgrades so they are probably very good. Great to hear from people who have actually done this stuff and want to share their successes and challenges. Thanks so much.

We been waiting for this crank for months. Finally. But….
If anyone is looking for a trans and t case. I have a paramount built trans by Bill, great condition, I never had a chance to get on it as we just been fixing all the issues that Premier did.
but the trans is barely used, the t-case is freshly built never installed. I’m going 8hp95 built now.
But my 8hp70 and t case is going up for sale here .

finally all my parts are there. It took a while as we rewired the body module etc.8hp95 stage 2 built, this is a 401 stroker demon long block, all Callie’s internals, custom ST Cp pistons. Motor and trans will go in next week. heads are cnc etc. custom cam, manton rockers pushrods and Johnson short throw lifters.
Whipple stage 2 with a pro port, and drag pak intercooler. All suspension is finished. We have her down to 4680lbs. We will have her down to 4500’s. For Mats in Vegas. I know it’s been 2 damn years. Atleast it has a chance to take my redeye. Haha

I can't answer for him but for some people it's not about the money, it's about the journey or the end result of building something yourself.

Also his build will probably be faster than Tina Boggess 9 sec Hellcat Durango.

Spent a ton of money having my 2014 Shaker built at Petty's garage. At the end of the day I could have traded it and bought a used Hellcat. But like others, I like my "built" hotrod. It kind of reminds me of my 71 Challenger Shaker I built back in the day. We now have the 21 Super Stock to keep it company but I still love to drive the Shaker as much as possible. Can't wait to see the RT in action so excited for you.

It was a long block I was offered for a good price. Over the old 5.7 that leaked and burned oil. Burned through 2 qt of oil every 400 miles with misfires. Lied about the fuel system. New trans and tcase was burned by them. They blame the detailers and the detailers point fingers back. 170 k later. I started over and we’re almost there. Pushrods and rockers will be there this Friday and next Tuesday motor and trans will be in. Than just some fabrication.

#95 ·
I hope that was a misprint. You could own two Hellkitties for that money.

Ohh it’s wore me out. I’m not kidding with Adam alone we’re at 100k.
Finally got the right pushrods in and rocker assembly is done. Subframe was lrepped
Today for the Trackhawk trans. No clue how he’s doing it, but says he’s done 3 before mine.

You guys all think I planned this. This started back in dec that I put trust into. And got burned with more damage. Then you start with one thing then add another and so forth. I have everything I need. My Charger does well. I kept this thing going since 2019 as I have some followers.
Ya know if it takes you that much energy to say some negative shit. Take it somewhere else.
