So I have just a tick over 115k miles and I received this code this morning. I cleared it and it came right back. What things can I check or should I be scheduling a trip to the stealership!? Are there easy parts that I can replace?! Thanks all!

Clean the seal at the fuel fill location. My 2013 has a cap and I have to wipe mine down really good every now and then when I get this code. You'll have to do something different, since the 14's and up don't have caps, if I am correct.

My had an issue with the petro purge value tube cracking before going to the engine. It looses pressure and registers as an EVAP leak. It's likely why there was a gas smell. It's under the engine cover on the rear right side.

There could be multiple items, which can be found on Youtube. I also replaced my cartridge to the carbon filter for the gas tank.

Thanks for this ... mine was fine but I went ahead and changed the purge valve and the code is back

I fought this issue a year ago. Best advice I can give is to have a ‘smoke test’ performed. There are many components to the evaporative system and the smoke test will help narrow where the problem is.

yeah that is the next step, once the light comes on again I will schedule it for service.
