Forgive me if this was covered. We should be able to take a transfer case from a 2014 Durango and put it in a 2012 right? Local yard got one for $525. Or am I better off just have the bearing replacing in the case?

As long as it's the same model, can't se why not. How much are they charging you for the bearing to be replaced? You never know what you're getting from used parts. I'd probably do the bearing.

Tuck:
Usually, the yards have software programs that will tell them (Hollander comes to mind) which parts will interchange on what years. You might be able to call around to one that does.

Saw one of the dodge techs at the grocery store he confirmed as long as it’s the same model Durango the years won’t matter. I’ll use the Hollander website and grab one I’ll let you guys know how I made out.
