Check your battery. It may be heading South.
Many start/run problems can ultimately be tied to PCM probs as a result of dead or dying battery.

I'd definitely replace the battery if it's the original.

This might also be a leaky injector.

First thing to check is a load test on battery, If it passes come back here, if it doesn't, replace! If it does pass load test, their can be a number of things, from IAC, TPS, Bad spark plug wires, vac leak, coil, etc. Should do some searching here, threi are a lot of post reguarding your situ.

If it's the original battery, you're due.

The fuel smell sounds like a leaky injector.

 

When the computer senses weak current and voltage problems from the battery it'll cause problems one of which isn't firing the plugs, hence fuel dumps in cylinders and out tailpipe.
If the battery is original it's doomed

thanks everyone. I'll definitely check the battery. I have noticed the lights dimming quite a bit at night when I use the power windows. I looked at the battery and it's original. I guess I'll be going to O'Reilly's tonight.
I did have a code a few weeks ago. I think it was INJECTOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. But I couldn't find any info on that code. The check engine light was NOT on, I just scanned it just to make sure since it had been running horrible.

I didn't think they were replaceable. Mine is the coil on plug, I think. Just checking

Better check your Hemi. It also has coil on plug (like the 4.7) and has no spark plug wires as we know it.

Sorry, mine has eight SPW's going to their oppisite cylinder, 16 SP's, Yes 1 coil direct to SP. I've only seen 8 coils.

And the new 4.7 has 2 plugs per cylinder as well

mine must be the old one. I only had one coil per plug. and they're not fun to change, airbox removal and moving fuel lines.

 

Yours is the old 4.7 same as mine
The new one is real different design sans the block.
