So I love the look of the SRT Durango, but will probably never actually buy one to replace my current one. however Im curious if I can buy the hood and front fascia of the SRT model to put on my SXT to give it that look of the SRT version. I know its one of those things where Im trying to look like something Im not but I love the look and If I can't have a real SRT Durango then might as well have the looks of one, lol! I don't see anywhere at least yet where I can buy these. Im guessing maybe once the SRT Durango is actually available for sale then I might be able to buy one from the mopar site but curious if there is anywhere now i can buy it!

I'm sure none of the real parts are available anywhere.. I'd bet the factory is just getting their first-article production pieces around now.. but once the vehicles hit the streets they should have part numbers and be orderable..

whether you can FIND the part numbers is another problem..

The aftermarket pieces are probably all going to be fiberglass and heavier than the aluminum OEM hood. Fiberglass hoods on the LXs were heavy enough that the dual hood struts sometimes couldn't keep up with the weight, especially on old struts and in the cold of upstate NY winters.

I'll be waiting on OEM and I've already told Andy@ECMP that I called dibs on the first DSRT hood he gets his hands on. [emoji23]

Yes these are fiberglass Sarona is a company out of new York and they get very high reviews very good fit and finish and high quality. I believe the parts are produced when you order them. And I'm sure the oem stuff is gonna be crazy expensive

These are not well made at all.b They are made in a small body shop to order in Queens NY
Wait for the originals

The Sarona is a turd and that is me being nice.

I made my own but had some issues with the stock paint interacting with what I sprayed so I had to put the Sarona back on for now...

Jus kinda bringing this thread back to life after a year. So obviously the SRT is out and parts for the most part are available to buy. However the problem Im seeing is that if you don't go OEM then you have to get it painted to match the color you want and other odds and ends. OEM I would think you can just type in the part number on the MOPAR site and get what you need in the color you need. The problem I see with going OEM on the MOPAR site is that they sell each part of the hood separately and you need to make sure you get all the parts to make the conversion like the correct nuts and bolts and assembly stuff and the grill and the front fascia stiff and housing stuff. Why cant I just tell them I want the hood and fascia and they give all the parts I need for that. I would also think they could match the paint exactly since its OEM and they make the colors anyways. Question is the price and how much to install and etc. Anyone have anymore info for OEM price and etc that I can use to get a estimate
