SRT cluster in RT

Has anyone successfully swapped clusters from a SRT or TH into their RT?

i have a 2018 SRT and i have a 2021 BCM for it. I spent hours today between the 18 and 21 BCM using Alfa trying to get the cluster to work properly. Plugging it in it function, but the tach area doesn’t light up and the Speedo is small.

Wondering if anyone has successfully swapped a cluster.

Yes, I am working on swapping SRT cluster into my Citadel. If you look at my posts, you'll see description of where I'm at so far. Since you're using a '21 bcm, I'm not sure if there will be other issues, so you're in your own uncharted waters with that. But, in the bcm under 'car configuration change' is a setting called 'Vehicle is SRT'. If you change it to yes, cycle the key, and drive it a few times, the tach and srt menus should show up. What will also likely happen is your abs, stability, airbag and acc/fcw will throw warnings at you on the dash. Thats currently what I'm trying to figure out how to change as alfa won't clear the codes from the individual modules. Turn 'vehicle is srt' back to no, and it all goes away, warning lights, tach, menus. If you can sort out why, and fix it, please let me know, i've been working on it for a week.

Yea that’s where I’m at too. I’ve tried both my 18 (stock) and 21 bcm. I was really hoping for a “activate X cluster” or something of the such.
was thinking maybe say yes to SRT and then going through each item that SRT activates and switching it back manually. Like “active suspension models > no “ELSD > no”
If your '18 BCM is a stock R/T, that could be pretty useful, especially if I know what options it has. If that is the case, please share that log. I can compare that to my Citadel, which is basically the same as the R/T minus a few features. If I could then get a stock '18 SRT BCM, there could potentially be differences there that show how to set the BCM up to run the SRT features in the IPC.

I have a SRT Jeep and the only difference between my Jeep and Durango is the functions activated when SRT mode is activated.
so why not active srt mode and the create a log then compare that SRT mode log against your stock citadel
What year is the SRT Jeep? If the Jeep is an '18, that could be useful. And I'm not sure there will be a difference between having SRT mode active or not. I think it just needs to be an SRT equipped vehicle to compare what features are enabled in SRTs vs the non-SRTs.
Right.. srt mode automatically switches everything “equipped” over.
You could activate it and then compare

Not sure why folk just won't post on the forum? Just remove the VIN but that is also useful to see via build sheet what came with the vehicle. I have posted my 2017 GT here and on the challenger forum several folks posted theirs in the thread which helped me help other get their rides squared away for launch control. I could have been stingy and not share my log and how I got launch control (or trailer harness working on my GT) but I chose to share. Although for several months I had folks PM'ing me ask me to look at their config to see why launch was not work.

Anyways just a thought.

I, for one, have no issue sharing. That's what forums like this are for. Nobody has asked for mine except @PatentlyPhil, who has been helping me try to solve this. As I said earlier, I've spent the last week and a half trying to solve this issue. No luck so far. I've gathered a collection of various bcm logs for comparison. As stated, for me personally, an '18 Durango SRT log might be the key to helping me figure this out, especially if I know how its optioned to go along with the log. I've found patterns with the bcms from a '19 SRT Charger and a '21 SRT Durango. I've also found inconsistencies in a few other Durango bcm logs, that complicate things. I really need more '18 Durango logs, especially a SRT and maybe an R/T to really sort this out. And if I can figure it out, I might be able to put together something to help others with the same.

LoL, I did not mean to come off as a Richard but hard to control the timbre of a post using text. I should have just said, post up your logs here but then that too reads harsh and a-hole-ish to some.
It’s cool, i have thick skin. I admin/mod to many mopar fb groups to not have.
i have zero issues posting anything or any information that is factual/correct. That’s why we all come to forums/groups is to learn.
To be honest i don’t know how to post a bcm file here and i access the forum through my phone. All my logging/tuning is on my laptop so i thought it would just be easier to email it to him.

I haven’t 100% participated in a on line forum in 20yrs 😂 idk how this stuff works anymore

You should be to just drag and drop the text file....that is what I did for my logs here and the challenger forum (my user name is challytatum over there).

Hello, I was up going through the forum and came across you guys post. Being that you guys are familiar with swapping out clusters. I am wanting to swap out the cluster in my 21 DDRT for a 21 DD SRT or SRT HELLCAT, is this possible to do just by plug and play with Alfa OBD?
What is weird about durangos is that it seems like you need to change configurations to make it work. On my challenger to swap in an SRT cluster in my RT just required me to change my odometer readings with alfa...literally plug and play.
Cool! I'll give it a shot and see what happens! I'm sure I'll be able to get my $500 back if all fails from someone wanting to do the same thing.:oops:

I did forget to mention the shift light on the SRT cluster does not work on my RT and for the life of me I can't guess why. Even SRT folks had inoperable shift lights from the factory which only was enable by dealerships flashing new software but not sure what module had to be flashed and why.

Also my SRT cluster does not display SRT font on the EVIC for that I need to enable SRT mode but that puts a bunch of options on my headunit that don't work so I leave it disabled.
