Reduced engine temperatures add life to your engine and provide a denser air/fuel mixture which helps produce more horsepower. Consistent control of engine temperature allows an engine to operate at its peak efficiency no matter what the driving conditions. The factory 203 degree thermostat simply cycles open and closed, this reduces cooling efficiency in any engine. With the 180° thermostat you get consistent engine cooling and a precise metering of water throughout the engine. Specifically Designed for the Mopar application

Opening Temperature Rating: 180 degrees
Flow Rating: High-flow
Gaskets Included: Yes
Thermostat Material: Stainless steel

When I get my new D R/T, this will likely be my first mod. I put a 170 on my Magnum SRT8 as it's first mod but I knew I was going to be several thousand more $$$ into it and taking it to the drag strip a lot. I don't really have the urge to mod another car to such an extreme so the 180 should be perfect (and will help prevent those annoying temp codes in the winter).

Yes the 180 is just right and helps keep it cool, especially when running a tune with fan settings adjusted for it!

Out of curiosity, why isn't this compatible for the 04-09 Durango HEMI?
