so - this is the 5th vehicle I have used with the 8.4 uconnect screen. In all you could hold down the power and select buttons to perform a soft reset...however on this newest edition, that apparently does not work. I have googled and cannot find a different way to perform a soft reset...has the method changed or is my unit defective?

the uconnect voice recognition for messaging is not recognized, and uconnect customer service suggested a soft reset...which I was sure I already knew how to do...
