Service all wheel drive

I have a 2011 Citadel that is having a similar issue. Mine is an AWD, but it get the Service Four Wheel Drive System message upon start up. It also says ACC / FCW Unavailable Vehicle System Error. The SERV 4WD light comes on along with the traction control off light. As a result, my cruise will not work. The vehicle drives fine and there are no leaks or abnormal sounds. I cannot shift it into 4 Low either. Seems to me its something electrical, but the one shop I took it to said it could take hours to diagnose. Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue?

Save yourself some trouble here. I went through this process some time ago. I had all the same lights and symptoms as you. Checking the batteries is a good idea as well, but it may not be that.

Check all of the below:

1. Transfer Case Control Module - located under the driver's seat in that tray in the floor. If you hear any "clicking" sounds after startup, this module is bad. Happens frequently with these trucks from my experience. Mine was "clicking" to start things off for me, so I replaced this first. It cured everything until the next part failed.

2. If #1 above isn't an issue, move to the Transfer Case motor that is mounted on the side of the transfer case itself. It looks like this:

I replaced this next, after taking my truck to the dreaded dealership and them telling me they could replace this for like $800. I bought one from Rock Auto and put it on myself for $150. Didn't end up changing anything. So....off to the next step below.

3. If #1 and #2 above check out fine or don't work, next up would be the Range Position Sensor. This little bugger was my culprit when all the same lights and issues arose with my old Durango R/T. You'll see it if you get under there. It's also attached to the Transfer Case itself and is easily accessible. When I replaced mine, I found out that the plunger can be inserted two ways - one way and then 180 degrees turned. It'll fit both ways but only work one of them. LOL Once I had it installed correctly, EVERYTHING went away and it drove again like a champ.

I think I have a different issue as nothing turns on in the Durango no service lights or Low Range light. Even when I switch it into Low Range no light comes on in the dash. When i unplug the TCCM underneath the driver seat the service 4x4 light comes on but once I plug it back in it goes away. I have switched out the Transfer case position sensor, im hoping some one has had similar issues that might be able to help or guide me through to figure what I need to purchase next.

I have had those exact issues and posted on here about it with my 2011R/T. Mine ended up being the transmission solenoid pack.

Recently bought 2013 Durango Crew AWD 5.7 HEMI 263xxx km on it.
Had a problem, drive shaft seems to be hitting hard while shifting gears, 1st gear seems to be slipping. In reverse circular motion (both sides) some jerks kinda situation.
Went to authorized workshop,
They just disconnected the AWD computer (as they mention it) and all seems to be OK. Still SVC AWD + Traction off light comes after a little run.
NOW,,,, I need to get the AWD control module....
The mechanic told me, it must be programmed according to vehicle chassis #.
Q1. Where can I get the AWD Control Module
Q2. How much approx. it will cost.
Q3. Does it really needs programming, can anyone do it or specialized workshops/engineers only.
Q4. Can I fix it myself? and how it can be done ?

Appreciate your assistance.
(NOTE: Does anyone else had this problem, and what was the reason they found?)

Q2. How much approx. it will cost. See below as well.
Q3. Does it really needs programming, can anyone do it or specialized workshops/engineers only. No programming required. Plug and play.
Q4. Can I fix it myself? and how it can be done ? It is located under the driver's seat in that cubby down there. Unplug old unit, plug in new unit. Whuuallla.

Be sure to check the model number for your specific vehicle. The above is on for reference as to what these things are and look like.

None of anything I did required programming of any sort.
