I was running errands the other day and when I got in my car to leave it started as normal. When I put it in gear it died. I did this several times. Realized key fob not working to lock/unlock doors. Had 2nd key fob in car. Tried it. It didn’t work either. According to locksmith since red security light comes on initially then turns off (doesn’t flash) that means key is programmed and recognized. I had to lock doors manually then locked with key. Needed to grab insurance to call for tow. Unlocked. Alarm went off. Could not disable. Still in parking lot.

Could be batteries in the fobs for the door lock issues. That's separate from the VTSS sytem which is the chipped key read by the antenna near the ignition switch.

Have you tried new batteries?
