After having the black headlights and dual exhaust installed on my Durango Limited today, I finally have my 'blacktop package' conversion complete! I have always loved the look of the blacktop but being that I wanted the Sandstone Pearlcoat with Light Frost/Beige interior, it was never really a possibility. After buying my perfect D and gleaning as much info as possible from this site, I decided to create it myself.

Honestly, I think it came out even better than I had even hoped.. Let me what you guys think!

If you look on the last picture that shows the passenger side headlight installed, you can faintly see that there is a harness right below the headlight support. All the connections from the lights(fog lights, headlights) go to this harness, and they are all connected to their and the fuse box. My thought was too maybe buy a harness from a wrecked rt that has HIDs, ( i cant find a replacement harness online) and try to swap out the whole harness so that i can connect the HIDs headlights with DRL.... Through the process I have managed to break like two tabs from the bumper, so i don't wanna try to swap anything out until i know it would work. I've been thinking of going to the dealer, but i have no hope for a dealer to help me out. That , and i have no time to go since we are really busy at work.

Im actually glad that you two are posting here as I have received a few questions about the process of switching from non-DRL halogen, to DRL halogen. I have always had DRL so I can't totally speak for those without, but judging by Rafael's picture of the back of his non DRL headlamp, the connections for with/without appear to be the exact same. That is, there are 2 connections for both DRL+Halogen and non-DLR+Halogen. I believe the 3rd connection only comes into play for those vehicles with the HID highlights.

Here is the backside of the Halogen headlamp WITH DRL.. Looks the same as Rafael's NON DRL...

Most likely they won't work until you get it flashed, which will also add options in uconnect for controlling them like everyone else has that already has DRL's. That's how it worked for my remote start. once they flashed it, I had all the remote start options that weren't there previously.
