Hello to all on the forum. I thought I would join to go over our Durango. I will tell you we built by hand in the shop. This is a prototype. We are working to offer to everyone in fiberglass. This is a stock hood modified. We have a 6lb supercharger on it 430/438. Are ghetto numbers. This was built to customer specs all the way to he hoodpins and seats please ask any questions and we look forward to being a Durango parts supplier
WOW WELCOME ABOARD, It is an honor to have you on board here so we can here 1st hand what is going on now and in the future. Nice respectable numbers for only 6lbs, Are these rear wheel(awd) numbers
Sorry it is not a danko base it is a cervini
Cervinis from the good old Garden state, I had a Cervinis Hood on my Gen 1 Durango good quality piece. Looking forward to what you will bring to market.
Thanks for coming on board

Those are rear wheel numbers. It was a great driving SUV with great power. We had a shaker for a challenger in stock and we had a feeling we could make it work. We delivered it today to the customer and he was very pleased. I believe we have 1 coming to build for stock for Daytona Dodge to have in stock. Working on some other parts and pieces. Anyone can email me at sales@pettys-garage.com

Awesome Great News
I am hoping you come up with a Strut Towerbrace
that fits over the Hemi Cover in the Durango
Although I would love to send my D to you for that SC treatment

Welcome Petty Garage!!!! I could tell by looking at your Shaker assembly and knew it wasn't a Danko, however very similiar and I have owned a Danko on my 08' Magnum all as stated in my previous posts. I know Cervinis is Top quality product as well and I have contacted them and no Durango hoods were available at that time. I currently have a RKSports GTS Viper hood on my 05' Magnum and love it.I have had it on since 06' and it was one of the first productions. The quality is Very Good to say the least for a glass hood and have looked at the Ramair hood they have available now designed by Double D mods. I sure hope you can mfg.a quality produced hood MOPAR themed as your Heritage represents for the 3rd Gen D. Something like a Challenger/New Ram Truck style with functional RamAir induction. We don't like fake stuff.I would be very interested even in the 1700-2k+ range in raw form.Stay with the quality of Cervinis /RKSport or better with modern style that is incorporated with todays Mopar. So someone looking at it wont be able to tell if it was a factory optioned Mopar or Limited model. Hope this makes a little sense and We All look forward to what you guys can bring to the open market. As Well as ANY SUSPENSION MODS...STRUT TOWER BRACE etc.!!!!!

I think the lines on the 2014 are calling for a dual snout above the grill, inline with each side of the grill opening, with similar lines of the stock hood on top. The '68 Shelby comes to mind... And Ford has done it on their more recent retro stangs as well.

Here's one on a jeep, though it looks a little tacked on, rather than integrated into the design...

A carbon fibre option would be really cool, though I probably wouldn't pay the price.

nice to see some one putting some time in on the D for me the shaker does nothing for me. Love the SC for sure, would like to see, like the rest more suspension driven mods. A hood like the ones on the RAMs would fit this bad boy to the T...

nothing else yet

here is a question for who ever know or might know this.

would it be possible to add a supercharger to the V6? or are does kind of mods only for v8?

I saw a new Ram yesterday with the 2 vents similar to Challenger style only a little rounder in nature. I'm Contemplating modding a Ram/Durango hood to get what I want and it will be all Mopar .
I agree, that would be the perfect look! Last fall I had a post about the RK Sport hood to see if anyone had some firsthand experience, no luck. It was around $2k for the carbon fiber. It is still a single opening though, I think a pair of nostrils would fit better! I'd love to see you modify the Ram hood, you seem to have the tooling that most of are lacking!

Strut brace will probably be less helpful than you might think, because those aren't really struts.

I imagine it'd help some, because it would somewhat stiffen the UCA mounting points.. but there is no lateral load on the strut towers themselves..

Actually there are some Jeep SRT guys running the Arrington Brace and they said it makes the difference in the world. Although these new D's and Jeeps are built 10x stiffer than prior models they is some flexion in that front end if you really put it to it in the corners...but I dont drive like that so I am good :)
