Here's the part number for the upper shock mount 68029590AF. Hope to get it all installed at some point this week.
Thanks. That's the same part number I linked to a few posts back -- from justforjeeps.

CCjimmy................... What non leveling shocks are you going to use?

I replaced my Auto leveling system with these part numbers Dorman 523-031 upper mounts and Monroe 911304 shocks, I replaced these because the dealer replaced the auto leveling units twice and the upper mounts once and I was still getting a horrible clunking noise over small bumps before and after all stock units were replaced. I asked the dealer to do this ( replace auto leveling w/ non auto leveling) and was told it couldnt be done, the service manager said he pulled the upper mounts and they were totally different. Well as usual I do not trust the dealer and ordered the Dorman mounts since they were just released 2 weeks ago and go figure, they match the Auto leveling mounting holes perfectly (as suspected) again Dealer CLUELESS. I installed these on Friday and no more noise and handles and rides like a dream....oh and no difference in ride height. Hope this helps.........

I did the same thing, Eibach springs front and back and kept the leveling shocks in the back until I got the new mounts and Monroe shocks installed last week. With the stock nivomat rear shocks, the drop in the back was minimal and close to the stock height. Once I had the Monroe's put on the back end it dropped a little more and settled at the perfect level. The truck now looks like it should IMO, it's not slammed but definitely lower than stock.

One thing to be aware of after doing this is alignment of both ends. The front camber was adjusted to it's maximum and still is off by just a hair, no more room for adjusting according to the garage that replaced the springs so I'll just rotate the tires more often to reduce wear. When the shop did the rear end last week they didn't check the rear camber (don't know why) but that was way off as well so the D is in the shop today getting the rear camber adjusted. Once I get the truck back later today I take some pics and measurements and post them up for you guys to see.

Looking forward to your pics. I still can't decide if I should go with the Eibach JGC springs or Black Ops. Eibach springs are not designed for the DD weight so I might go with the Black Ops springs.

LOL.... No they kept me out of the loop for that reason I am assuming. I asked as many questions as I could. They did assure me they would do best they could to make the best kit possible. They had my truck for 2 weeks to try dift setups and do test drives with it. I like what I have so far. But was told it is not the final product. They kept the prototype on the car till they are done manufacturing the shocks and the springs.
Sorry Guys! That's all I got. Glad you guys like the car maybe if you guys call them and say we know it is in the works it will push them to release them faster ;)
Well I spoke with Eibach R&D today to follow up on my call to them back in December. They are forgoing the development of lowering springs for the DD. The marketing department said the volume would not be enough to justify the cost of a production line just for the DD. Seems the demand wasn't there so we won't get a lowering solution from Eibach.

mybleu300, did Eibach complete the testing and tell you anything more about the prototype springs they put on your D? Can you confirm what I was told from their R&D rep?

Well that is kinda crappy on their part, Who did they poll to see how they would sell...The Pinto Owners Group!

All he said was in the 4 years the latest gen3 D has been out only 5 people asked about lowering kits... I was 1 out of those 5 cause I called last year... I really doubt they tracked or cared to poll potential customers looking to lower their D... Oh well I guess I'm going with the Road Magnets.

I took a couple of quick pictures this morning. I have the Eibach JGC springs front and back and the Monroe non-leveling shocks on the back with the new mounts. The D sits level and rides and handles beautifully. The ride is slightly firmer but not jarring in any way. The rear springs have been on for a couple of months now so they have had time to settle and as you can see the back sits just a hair higher than the front, maybe a 1/2" at the most.

If the kit is bolt on 100% no BS I am in for 1!

Your DD is the one they did all the R&D on so I'd think you'd be the best candidate to plead our case for a kit for the D. Do you even know what they did to your D to remedy the auto leveling in the rear?

I agree but I was asking Steve if there is serious people that want to get the D lowered so I can plea there is more than just 5 people actually waiting on this kit to speed it up.
I by no means believed it would take this long to make a kit.

Like I said the guy I talked to in R&D said it's a done deal they aren't preceding with a kit for the D, so I'm sure they will need a least 20 confirmed buyers. Do you know what they did to remedy the auto leveling in the rear?
