Hi everyone!

Given that this is a "new" model (for a lack of a better term) - I am wondering what are the real MPGs for the 8-speed. Do you have the 6 or Hemi? What would you say is your city/highway ratio?

Just trying to get real world numbers to help me choose.

Thank you in advance!

not a directly applicable number, but over 5000 miles (not counting the first thousand or so) in my '14 GC 5.7L, I have averaged 17.85MPG (calculated by Excel, not the EVIC)

I don't drive particularly gently. Probably 40% of that was 'highway'.

I have 1200 miles on my awd r/t hemi. We do about 80% city and are getting around 16.
I have 3000 miles on my R/T long trips from DC to NY, got the car sept 28th. I do about 75% Hwy and my average currently is 12.5 for lifetime. On my last trip to NYC I got 21.3MPG. I've got a lead foot, I gas it all the time.

MY '12 challenger v6 does 90% highway (but stop and go rush hour traffic in evenings, mornings are a flat out 65-70mph) and the overhead evic states 28.x over my tank resets. My hand calculated shows 26.x. 27k miles on ticker. My best is 31 going out to arizona and doing 75, relaxed mode, when doing 85 it drops to 26-27, get there mode!

Just tipped over 500 miles on my 2014 Durango AWD Citadel V-6. I drive the suburbs with some highway travel so its a mix with mostly city miles. The computer says I'm getting 19, but I have only had to refuel once. Real "old school" calculations with the miles driven divided by fill gallons says I'm closer to 18, but will have more accurate results with my second refill.

Ok so where are the mileage gains for the 8 speed? My 13 R/T gets 15-17 around town and 21 HWY at 6400 miles on ODOmeter.
Not seeing much difference there. As I predicted in the lighter Grand Cherokee the 8 speed is more advantages but the added weight of the D still makes this a mediocre gas mileage performer(ok for me that isnt what I bought it for)

My last fill up 24.3 gallons. Total miles on this trip 487, 66% highway at 75mph, 34% city normal driving habits. I averaged 20 mpg, total miles on Durango at fill up, just over 2k miles. Forgot to mention 2014 R/T
