I could have swore the dealer told me i have rain sensing wipers. They dont turn on automatically and i am not seeing an option in the menu of the 8.4 screen. Anyone know how to def tell if you have it? 2014 Dodge Durango Limited

Setting should be on the safety/assistance tab, if it exists.

attached are from the owner's manual and users guide.

I have a '14 Limited and don't have them. Checking my spreadsheet from when I was looking, it appears "Rain Sensitive Windshield Wipers" are standard on the Citadel, and part of the Safety / Security and Convenience Group otherwise.

The control is on the turn signal arm as well. The long white tapered scale is for the sensing wipers. You can turn it off and control the sensitivity/interval it wipes.
All that does on mine is control the interval time. I don't have anything on the EVIC to activate them either.

On the head unit I think I remember a setting for rain sensitive wipers, check box. Then your wiper arm controls its functions. You can tell if you have it by looking at your windshield from outside at the rear view mirror area and look for a triangular area in the blacked out section which has a camera in it to "SEE" the rain drops, then wipes. It's Kool but remember to turn off your wiper setting or turn ignition Off when washing windshield at filling station. Very Aggrevating......lol

I believe you have to have the premium Napa leather option in the R/T to get the rain sense wipers. The Nappa option has several features that have nothing to do with leather seats. Just the way Dodge packaged it.

Everybody needs to get their buildsheet. Maybe we should put a checkbox on the signup page ;)

Seriously, many mysteries are solved with a buildsheet, and years from now it could become critical to the continued enjoyment of your D.

Yes, I agree, get your build sheet. I bought my Durango used and learned a couple things from the build sheet. it was pretty cool and very handy.

mine is a '11 Durango Crew with the Lux Package. I have the rain sensing wipers on mine. I didn't think I would use them at first. i'm not into 'nanny state' electronics. i still run Windows XP on every computer I can if that tells you anything. ;)

but I've found I like the rain sensing wipers on these Durangos.

Once you click the wiper mist control at its lowest setting, the rain sensor is on....it will automatically make the wipers swipe fast or slowly based on how much rain is hitting the windshield. If you increase the dial, then you are just adjusting the manual mist setting, it doesn't affect the auto-rain sensor.

from the owner's manual:
The sensitivity of the system can be adjusted with the
multifunction lever. Wiper delay position one is the least
sensitive, and wiper delay position four is the most
sensitive. Setting three should be used for normal rain
conditions. Settings one and two can be used if the driver
desires less wiper sensitivity. Setting four can be used if
the driver desires more sensitivity. Place the wiper switch
in the OFF position when not using the system.
