Fairly simple install, just need a little ease and care to remove the shroud around the hood latch. Not sure on exact part names as I'm new to Dodge, and I didn't take many pics but I will try a write up.

1. Remove the plastic push pins on each side of the hood latch (2 per side). These are the two that hold the side shrouds from the fenders down over the center hood latch shroud.

2. There are 4 metal clips on the underside of this center shroud, which you can release by gently pulling up on the panel. They should pop free. If you get your fingers under closer to the clips, you can help them pop free one by one without having to bend the panel much. You can see the four square slots here in this pic of the removed panel. One of my metal clips stayed in the hole.

3. Now the panel is free on the back side, but still attached to the grill itself. There are four 7mm screws attaching the shroud to the grill. Look for these on the underside of the shroud to the grill. You can pry up on the shroud and get a socket with an extension on the screws and remove each of the four. Use a extendable magnet to avoid dropping a screw.

4. Now the shroud is still attached to the grill, but just by a few plastic tabs. I couldn't capture these with my phone camera. You will see them. The best way to get them free is to press the male tab downward (center longer tab) and gently pull the grill and shroud apart. It's basically your standard barbed plastic tab which snaps in a catches. Not sure what to call these, but you can work left to right to pip these free and eventually get the shroud totally free from the grill.

5. Now you have some room to get your arm down to the back side of the grill and down around the horn to locate the emblem. The grill will pull out slightly to give you room. The ebay link is for the emblem I found for $6. It took 3 weeks to ship from China, but it's a nice metal piece and seems solid quality. If the link dies, do a search for "3D Metal R/T Front Grill Grille Metal Badge Emblem For Dodge Charger.

New 3D Metal R T Front Grill Grille Metal Badge Emblem for Dodge Charger | eBay

6. I had to trim down the threaded rod they give you by 1/2 inch, to avoid the backside of the screws hitting the plastic shroud next to the radiator. I also JB welded the threaded rods into the back side of the emblem to help lock them in, and I also painted the metal backing plates black (so you won't see the silver thru the grill).

7. I added lock washers under the nuts (8mm open end wrench works well to secure these in a tight space) and secured it to the grill with low torque as I didn't want to compress or break the plastic grill. You can see the back side of the threaded rod here after attaching.

8. Replace the shroud to the grill and locate the tabs and snap them in. Then drive home the four 7mm screws.

9. Locate the metal clips to the four square slots in the frame and the secure then four push pins. All done!

PM me if you have questions.

I was looking at the rt badge that lights up but sheesh they really are trying to rob people for that.

Op rt looks good like it was ment to be

Decided to dip my debadged R/T logo and stick it in front.

I bought my '11 R/T CPO and it was missing the Dodge badge on the front grille. I bought the Charger R/T badge and put it on the right side.

I also have the R/T badge in the same location ;)

Reviving an old thread! Ok, so I just ordered the OEM R/T emblem with the clips on the back. My question is, will it clip onto the honeycomb grille, like the Charger, or did I order the wrong thing? TIA.

That looks awesome . Im surprised they don't put more r/t badges, hell or even a hemi 5.7 badge by the doors like i see in their pick ups or chargers/challengers.

You probably already discovered this, but the one I got for the Charger grille didn't work :(

Unfortunately yes, I did discover it was a fail, however I just broke off the clips on the back and added some 3M double sided tape to the back of the emblem. Boom, it works for now. Been through rain and sub-zero temps here in VA.

I agree, so I de-badged the chrome letters on the tailgate and added a red R/T and a black HEMI 5.7 logo. Also removed the dodge in the tailight. This isn't a great pic, but you can get the idea I think. Also, my glass was clean, that's the reflection from the clouds!

Looks good! I didn't think of that. After my fail, I got a Sick Badging Technologies badge for the front of mine.

Yours sticks well with the 3M tape? I hadn't thought of that solution. LOL
