Just as a headsup, from what i have seen on my RT with stiched dash and those without: i have noticed that you also get upper soft touch door panels on all four doors. Dodge references them as leather wrapped doors in FCA press kit, but doesnt state they ONLY come with the IP option. If you have regular dash, you get regular panels from what i have found. I have a 14 to compare to and it is actually a big difference. Nice little surprise! So just an FYI to those shopping

Post some pics please of the dash and doors

I believe you have to order the second row captain's chairs in order to get the deluxe stitched dash. That would be a no go for me as I need the second row bench seats. Personally I see that as an FCA money grab for tying a buyer into getting two options instead one one.

What is the color of the stitching if I order this option on a 2018 R/T with black interior? Also I would love to see picture of the door panels you are referring to.

Look at 18 RT vids on youtube...when you see a truck with IP option, all 4 doors have matching soft touch uppers. When it does not, the doors are regular textured vinyl like dash. Well worth the 1k whenu compare in person.

Really a $2K option as you have to get the chairs to get the dash

There are a number of us here (and no doubt elsewhere) that need the ability to have the whole back be flat, the chairs ruin that for us.
But I would have popped for the dash if it had been offered as a stand-alone option.

Clarification on the Stitched Dash Option

I always believed that to get the stitched dash (which as others have commented, also comes with upper door panels in leather) you just have to bolt on the "Premium IP Bezel" option. Looks like you're right; you must have the captains chairs... Not sure why, exactly, very confusing as to how one affects the other.
