Hello I have a 1999 SLT 4x4 full and part time 360, wish list of things that will happen over time, up grade rims and tire size, new rear springs and lift kit (as it is stock ) winch bumper, and then I will start on the engine and tranny and yes the diffs will be tweaked, its all going to happen with money money money.

Just bought my Citadel. Chose that package because it was the most similar to my 2012 Explorer Limited. They spec out almost the same as far as options, but the D can tow much more, and more effectively, too. That was the single most important deciding factor. I am in the market for a boat (bow rider, fish ski combo) and didn't want to stress the front drive explorer (5000# Tow capacity).

The Explorer had a better sound system (Sony), and the Smart Key was smarter than the D (you can limit speed, radio use, etc on the Explorer system per key). The way the third row folds and stows (Power) on the Explorer was also better. Of course, all these things are my opinion only.

Where the D excels, is in Towing ability, Second row (the console is great), MPG (They are both rated the same, but the D got 4-5+ more MPG on my usual highway route... 28 MPG at 77 MPH). I also like the integrated, stowed cross rails for the roof rack, the number of usb ports for passengers, and the second row heated seats.

I'd say the styling was an even match. Ride quality seemed better on the Explorer. Anyway, I know this isn't a comparison discussion. I'll be more than happy, I think, with my purchase, even though I've been a life long Ford guy. The deal I got was incredible. It's a one owner CPO with 11,000 miles with the Tech, Tow, 2nd Row Captains, Center Console, and DVD entertainment packages. RWD. And I got 23k for my trade in.

First post, BTW, look forward to collaborating with you all....

This is my first post so might as well start with my first Durango. 15 RT Granite Crystal Metalic with Captain Rear seats and tow package day after Christmas. Wanted the technology but couldn't locate and dealer fed me some BS about plant being shut down till March and I guess got the best of me as I was trying to acquire a new RT since the Miami auto show. Except for not having the Adaptive Cruise Control I'm extremely happy with my new DD. One of the most enjoyable vehicles I've owned.

2015 SXT Rallye. I hate chrome so this or blacktop was it for me. After I looked locally at a GT Rallye, I realized the SXTs had everything I wanted. I even had the dealership activate the Navigation on the 8.4" Uconnect in order to seal the deal so I didn't have to pay $600 retail for it. Really wanted an RT, but for the price I wanted to pay and keeping it low miles I decided to stick to SXT. Not disappointed at all.
