I currently have a 2005 Durango Adventurer (Hemi) and I love it to pieces. I want a 2012 or 2013 R/T. I would say 2014+ but I am not a fan of the turn knob shifter, just seems sketch to me. I want to prove to people that an SUV can not only be badass in every way but still be fast too. Maybe not the fastest, but I would love to get me an R/T and throw some serious money into it. Cams, epic tune on it, turbo or super charged, lowered (not bagged, I can NOT stand camber and I don't have respect for anyone that does. No offence if you like it I just disagree.) and as an electronics major in college I want to deck it out with a fat sound system. Nothing hits like a pair of 20" Jackhammer subs, the system in my buddy's Honda Pilot has that and you hear it a mile away, literally. A lot of people I know except maybe 5 think SUV are only grocery getters, and we plan to prove them wrong. With just an intake on mine I dropped my 0-60 time by a whole second from 8.2 - 7.1 and that is AWESOME. I already beat most of their civics in races and keep up by 1 car length with another friends 03 MACH1 Mustang by 1.5 car lengths.

The shift knob is different but in reality not really. Keep in mind there are many other differences between the 12/13's and 14's. 8 speed tranny for one. Exterior and interior updates. 8.4 command center screen. You should drive both before making the decision. Now with all that said - I hear the 11's and some 12's had issues with their transmissions. If you are going for a non-14 I would urge you try to find a 13. The good news on this year also is many dealers are closing these out with heavy, deep discounts.

IT HAPPENED!!! IT FINALLY FREAKIN HAPPENED!!!!

So, some of you know that I've been in the market for a new Durango. Well, my wife has anyway as I already drive Dodge :). But first we had to sell our beast of a Saab 9-7X. Well, today it happened. The bank approved the buyer, she has her check, she has her insurance, she is coming to pick it up tomorrow.

Why am I so ecstatic??? After about 4 months of searching now, we are not getting a 2011 that was in our price range. Not a 2012 that just barely in/out of our price range. We will be taking ownership of a lease return 2013 R/T with 15k on the Odometer this Saturday.

HAHAHA!!! I love it!!! Finally, Mopar takes even more precedence in my garage than just my beast of a Magnum.

Yes, yes, I'm happy...

I have an 04 slt durango 4.7 ..i need to know how hard it really is to change the oil pan. I've turned wrenches all my life as a back yarder and have a good garage with a fully usable pit... I am 53 and not in the greatest shape body wise. I can take time to do this,,cause i can't work a formal job anymore..was a union carpenter for 25yrs. I'm told its like a 700.00 dollar job to have it done,,can't afford that much..any advice (should i do it or don't )..

Hi! I'm Cheekie!
I'm rather new here, but have poked in and out as an unregistered guest on several forums for a while. No, I am not a bot or a spammer... I'm happily married, not looking to troll for anything but pointers and ideas on my newest project... I am a consummate tinkerer, wrench wrangler, tool touting kinda person. I love builds and mods, but, it was not until recently that I turned my interests towards poking my head into automobiles. I've owned the snowflake SXT 3.7 V6 since Jan 2008, and haven't done much more than change the oil and other basic maintenance. Its my hope to learn a lot from and with you all! See ya'all on the boards.
