I presently own a 99 SLT+ 4x4 that is getting a bigger engine and aluminum radiator and twin electric fans. I have put up with the original 360 forever and now want something better. If I do it right the better half will have to let me put in a Solid Axle swap to handle the torque and HP.

Sorry. I had a first generation 1998 Dodge Durango SLT, and now I have a second generation Dodge 2007 Durango SLT Night Runner edition. I'll have to remember the semantics next time I cross generation lines. Ugh! I hate being stupid, thanks for correcting me. Ah, before I leave this thread, is "D" still acceptable to use in reference to the Dodge Durango? I may need to revise my signature depending on the answer.

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2011 Dodge Durango R/T in Redline Red. It replaced my '99 Chrysler 300M that was totaled Nov. 2012. It costs a little more to insure, has a bigger gas tank (much needed), and makes me feel safe to drive a vehicle again. If the b*tch in the Jeep Commander hits me now, maybe she'll stop texting while driving.

1999 FG Durango SLT. Ordered from the factory in 1999 and showing only 127,+++ miles. Almost lost her when she puked her camshaft last November, but found a way to keep her even after the arrival of my 2013 Charger. Why choose if you don't have to?

'03 4.7 SLT 4WD Gen1. Found her on April Fools Day '09 on a Craigslist ad, thought it was too good to be true since I'd been searching for a Durango for a while and on April Fools I'd found the perfect one for me (new-ish, low miles, clean title, great shape, no problems whatsoever). Bought her 2 days later.

I would love to own a Gen3 at some point if my financial situation improves, I finally have awesome credit, now I just need money! Though there will be no trading in, not giving the Gen1 up for any other.

Get the 13 if you can
Some 12's are still riddled with TIPM module problems and early 12's had the 5 speed trans
13's all had 6 speed and a few other software updates

Well... we are getting one step closer. Got my wifes GM built hoop-d back together and ready for trade/sale. Now I'm looking between a couple years of the R/T which fit the budget. Currently, I've got my eye on an 11 R/T with low mileage and a good price. Any input on the 2011 with the 5 speed? Would be just like my Magnum darn near for performance... except of course I've got the bigger engine :). A few 12's fit the bill, but if we go for trade that won't add up any more. Appreciate feedback!

Hi all,

I just ordered a Durango RT in white with black 2nd row captains, tow package, nav and electronic package. I can not wait to start modding the 5.7L Hemi with a CAI and hi-flow cat-back exhaust. I have one question for the guys that have the Volant CAI, exhaust and if anyone has dyno results of any kind either stock or modded.

Thanks :D
