Guys,

I recently put some Red Caliper covers on my new 2014 RT.

I originally was going to get them painted but thanks to Danny (dbtx) for the reference and some encouragement from (Belinda), I went for Caliper Covers instead.

I have to say, I totally love this look. After all, I bought the sport version of the Durango and this just finishes the touch off nicely. I kinda feel that this should be a must for this car.

Anyway, installation was easy enough. I did it myself so I could practice using the RT's own jack etc. Took me about 2 hours in all as 2 of the covers didn't want to go on easily enough. An extra pair of hands wouldn't go a miss if you're going down this road. They do fit, but the company could make them a little more custom fit for the RT. It wasn't quite snug but it will do fine.

Here is the link to the Covers I got. There is a whole bunch of colors/designs you can get: MGP Caliper Covers for R/T, SXT, Rallye, Limited, Citidel
$230 is a little on the steep side but I was quoted $300 for painting them so i'm ok with that.

I have finished tinkering with add-ons for my car:...for now :)

  • Front Tints
  • Slush Mats
  • Personalized License Plate
  • Husky Liner (Cargo)
  • Mopar CAI
  • Caliper Covers
  • License Frame
  • Car Wash/clean Stuff

Enjoy the pics. Taken with iPhone so not great but will do.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Folks, I installed these and I have the clearance in the front but it looks so close to the rim that my OCD is kicking in. I bought spacers but when I went to install them the the local quick tire place tech didn't recommend it. Has anyone installed these and used spacers? Just wondering why he doesn't recommend.

Very nice

All you need is an 1/8" clearance.
There is minimal if any flex in the rim there.
I agree with tire place spacers risky

Just got a shipping confirmation and looks like I am getting my Carbon Fiber Caliper Cover on Friday. It's going to be a good weekend. Will post some pics after install.

Yes fronts are bigger.
If you ordered for your model all should be well

Here's my CF Caliper Covers with white Mopar on my Granite Crystal Metallic D R/T. Ordered it direct to MGP as customize cover. Love the outcome! Will take some more pic using SLR for better quality.

Thank guys! I'm really happy with my decision in going for CF. They cost more than but it pays off after installing them and seeing the outcome! Love love love it! No issues with the installation here. The clips are just a little tight so you have to force it to go in the caliper just make sure it has a clearance between the disk and caliper. Take your time installing! It took me an like an hour to do all. Clean your wheels too while you have them off the vehicle. Hope this helps you guys deciding going black or CF. Matte Black also is tempting!

Seeing these pics makes me wish I held out a bit to find an R/T with the non-polished rims... Really like the look of them

Wow! I just priced them on line and the site I looked at had a 140.00 adder for carbon fiber and another 100.00 adder for custom graphics coming to over 400.00 for the set. I really like the look of the carbon fiber with the stock wheels and Granite paint but at that price I may go with the red which look good also and would be my second choice.
