I've always wanted a Dakota. Lately I've been watching some dude on YouTube stuff a hellcat motor into one. Stellantis/FCA/RAM/DODGE are really missing a golden opportunity to bring back a mid-sized street truck with real performance. The Raptor and TRX are offroaders in my mind. The Ranger and Colorado are a little too girly, and just don't get it done. The Dakota was perfect IMHO. Long live the Dakota!

I've been watching that too. He does great work. If anyone is interested, his channel is called Boosted Motorsports. I love the Dakota too. This one was mine, but now it's my son's. The Dakota has some really great body lines. I just wish it had a Hemi.

I used to have a 98 Dakota R/T. Loved that truck. Shaker hood and various other mods. Wish I would have never sold it. Although living in Central Illinois I'm sure it wouldn't have made it this long with the way they love the salt in the winters.

No it wouldn’t have. I live in central Illinois and any Dakota I see is rusted all to hell.
