Ok it's official, I bought the donor D today for my engine swap. There are a few pics posted in this topic of it:
http://durangoclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8650

Right now the only things missing on it are the motor/tranny, radio, and the front clip (hood, fenders, bumper, etc.) It's wrecked on the passenger side, but the drivers is perfect. Silver exterior, grey leather seats, 3rd row seats, rear air, I'll post more about it later if need be.

If you're interesded in a part please post here then PM with me to further discuss it. I'll probably ship all parts threw UPS or USPS from US, TN, 37748.

I'd preferr to sell whole parts instead of pieces (whole seat instead of pieces of it, etc.) but if no one is interested in the entire part you want a piece of after some time, I'll do it.

I'll use this post as reference for a "first come first serve" basis. I know there have been parts mentioned in other posts, but please re-post your questions here so I can keep track of them. DOC members will get first consideration for all parts.

If you have more questions or need pictures of anything special, please let me know!

I also have the used K&N FIPK CAI and Fastman TB for the 2000 4.7l for sale.

Is the donor D have the factory fogs? If so, I'd like dib's on the headlight switch, then after the factory roof racks, If you can find out the cost to ship these to 92882, I'll PM you my offer.
And actually, I know it's the piece/ part thing, I just need the plastic end off of the passenger side mount to have a complete set, but if the shippings right I'll buy the both bars.

Does the steering wheel have the radio controls?

From the pictures, it looks like the steering wheel doesn't have radio controls. If it doesn't and the leather isn't torn up, I'd be interested in it. Have the front seats been exposed to the weather / what's the condition of the front seats (leather, cracks, cuts, etc.)?

Does it have 15 or 16" wheels? If 16" I'd be interested.

Someone that has the same brake system (2 or 4 wheel ABS) and has the ABS light still on after they have changed out their sensors should snatch up the CAB.

Good luck on your project!

Do you mean you only need the black plastic part that runs lengthwise down the truck that the rails attach to? If so, I may part with only it if that's all you need. Also the D did have the factory fogs, /w a push button switch to the left of the headlight switch I can get pics tomorrow. The steering wheel doesn't have radio controls.

Grease is the Word:
I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that the wheels aren't for sale (they're the 15's anyway.) The leather isn't torn on the steering wheel but it's rather dirty. I'll try to clean it up and let you know more in the next day or so. Will you be wanting the air bag? The seats haven't been exposed and appear to be in great shape. I'll clean them up as well and get better pics of everything for you in the next few days.

FireEater:
I'll keep you in mind on that motor, but I'd like to try to sell the entire door first if anyone is interested. It's in perfect shape, no scratches, and tinted windows.

Steve:
Thanks, hopefully I can part enough of this truck out to justify this whole opperation!

Dart,

You already have my list on the previous few items.

Please add the driver's side seat belt latch (short) section, passenger's side center seat seatbelt retractor at the top. Also, if you can provide a photo of the front washer fluid motor and it's the same as mine, dibs on that. My seatbelt latch catches sometimes, the rear doesn't retract consistantly and the washer fluid motor has a leak in the bottom of it.

Also, on behalf of D'tan, dibs on the black trim sill sections underneath each of the four windows.

Thx!

A) the inserts on the four door panels
B) if the drivers seat is powered, the plastic panel on the side of the seat controls
C) one cap from the top of the seat belts where it attaches up at the wall (to be used as a spare just in case I need it)

I'll get you pics of stuff you asked about tomorrow when the sun wakes up (or I do.) Stupid camera phone don't have a flash. :/

Good cover on the trim for D tan!

Thanks Dart.

When I last did a junkyard run for the DOC and took orders for all kinds of stuff for everyone, I personally got a ton of enjoyment on carefully taking out the parts folks wanted. Never would I get the chance to do that on my D so removing stuff here and there was very cool.

I have a nice little list there I think now. Let's go for two of the seatbelt cap tops.

Thanks,

IndyD

On the roof rack itself, each bar consist of 3 pieces, a left side plastic that get attached to the track on the D, the metal crossbar, then the rightside plastic that attaches to D. I'm looking at the plastic piece that's mounted to the crossbar, there's one or 2 small torx for each side. (I believe) that connects it together,
Then the headlight switch itself, the fog switch is intergrated into this switch, If it didn't have a factory installed fog lights, then the switch isn't what I'm looking for. You should be able to turn switch one or 2 clicks then pull to activate fog lights. The push button is what confusing me, doesn't sound factory.

I've also found 2 of my lower windshield cowl plastic "nuts" missing.

I have came across several different D's with push button foglights, some where located where this one is, some where located near the 12v accessory (cig lighter) plugs depending on the year. This switch appears to be a factory part because of the way it's integrated into the dash. I'll get pics of it and better pics of the rack for you tomorrow.

I don't have a build sheet on the D yet to confirm they where factory.

I'm looking for a set of rear molded spashguards. I need them shipped to 06078. Let me know if your donor has a set. :)

My 98 grey interior has a black steering wheel and air bag, so I'd need both.

I'd be able to pick up the seats without shipping if they worked out.

The actual front seat belts in my 98 are frayed on the edges. I don't know if the other dibs on the seat belt items include the belts or not. If not, I'd like the two front belts if they're not frayed.

BTW, how many miles on the truck so I can get a feel for the use on everything?

I have lot's of questions to answer and a very busy day today doing things non-D related. Please everyone bear with me and I'll get as many answers and pictures posted throughout the day as possible.

RobDA:
As mentioned in the PM, the entire front clip is missing on the D, so I don't have the fog lights.

a4x4ted:
I just regret I wasn't able to do this sooner. I had planned a junkyard run several months ago but I never was able to devote the time to it.

BigDog:
I need to check the ones on the passenger side to see if they where damaged, I'll get back to you.

Grease is the Word:
I'll try to get those pics ASAP of the seats and steering wheel after cleaned. I'm not sure of the exact mileage right now and I don't want to tell you the wrong estimate, I'll get back to you as soon as I can (having multiple cars is a pain remembering all those #'s :)).

I'm in need of the passenger rear door if in good condition. I'm needing the shell as I the wife drove into a fire hydrant and dented the door pretty good.

Also, needing the cruise control cable that bolts to the throttle body if same as on the '02 4.7l

#22 ·
I'm sorry, but as I said in the first post in this thread, the entire passenger side is totalled. The driver side is perfect though.

If I could get rid of that cable it'd be weeks before I could even think about it. It may be something I'll need in my motor swap. I'll let you know when everything is over if it's still available.

I'd like one or two of the top caps to the seatbelt mounts too. My kids have already lost one, and I suspect they'll lose another soon. I'd also like the drivers door lock actuator mechanism.

Does it still have the headlights?
Are they all fogged up?

Thanks for doing this.
We owe you beer!

Indy-

Thanks for thinking of me on the trim. I hit him up right quick, like he said.

Dart-

I should also say thanks again for the effort. It's definitely appreciated; I know you could just as easily haul it off to the yard. And if you're inclined to cut a piece of body metal and the rear passenger quarter is salvageable, let me know?

The seat belts must have weakened due to the massive torque of your motor Indy!! :cheesy:
