How its the performance?

 

To be honest I'm sure it makes a little bit of difference, but nothing crazy as the truck in Sport mode handled pretty well without it. A bigger difference is a wider track with upgraded wheel and tires. went 20x10 w/ 295x45 and the truck def feels more planted.

How much is the Grocery Getter Strut Bar?

 

It is still a 5000# + SUV, there is only so much you can do with that.....

I don't think anyone here is deluding themselves into thinking a strut brace is the equivalent of adding race rubber or 2" lowering, it's not a magical handling upgrade. However, If you have an awareness of subtle changes in steering feel, then I you'll know these braces add positive steering feel.

The Black Ops unit is an amazing piece, but we're not hunting terrorists overseas so it's not mission critical that the strut towers are held to a 5 micron tolerance, that thing is waaaay over the top! On the other end the Grocery Getter under hood presence is underwhelming, kinda weenie. They need to upsize the cross bar and add some gussets at the bends. Do that and I'll buy one.

I kinda agree with you on this. Grocery Getter seems only cosmetic more than what it does.

Seems Black Ops is the best but price wise very expensive.

 

Grocery Getter now offers a dual tube brace that is more substantial than the original.

 

I saw the Grocery Getter dual-tube brace on a Durango at the "Mopar Meet in the Mountains" event this past weekend in Gatlinburg. It looks like an excellent option.

Throw in that he was riding on a air suspension and had put FAT rubber at all four corners, and it was easy to see why he was able to run the Tail of the Dragon (US129) with ease.

 

That's cool! I imagine that was a fun event. I can't get over how low that Durango is sitting. I suppose the benefit of the air suspension.

The Mopar event sounds similar to the ZDayZ event for Z cars that is held at Fontana Village Resort each year. I've been to Fontana Village before, but unfortunately not for ZDayZ or even in my Z. The 2020 event scheduled for May was cancelled (and now may be rescheduled for November, 2020). I hope to get the Z up there one day.

Cool! My 350Z is the 2nd of three Zs that I've owned. I also had a 79 280ZX and a 2009 370Z. I sold the other two, but decided to keep the 350Z since it was pre-ordered in 2002 when Nissan announced that it was going to bring the Z back. I'm looking forward to seeing if Nissan is going to produce a new Z in 2021.

I have a Non-brand strut brace and bought it used from a guy that was already installed on his Durango. Its super light when he shipped to me in a box total weight was 5lbs with box.

 

Nice! Mine was black with a burgundy interior. LOL! My wife still doesn't know how to drive a manual. And I wouldn't dare teach her on my Z. It has a Nismo clutch and flywheel. The clutch takes a good amount more effort than the stock one.
