I'd leave it on and forget it. In traffic situations you'll be unlikely to get up to speed (38-45 mph where OD will kick in.
Unless you're towing or under heavy loadwith the risk of the engine/transmission really lugging, there's no real point in disengaging OD.

Pushing the button on the transmission stalk will turn OD Off and the light will go on.
