What's up Durango gang! Yesterday I placed an order for a 2021 R/T w/ the Tow n Go package. The lease is almost up on my 2018 R/T. Its been a great vehicle, no issues what so ever. We looked at the new Explorer ST as a replacement since it's very similar. The 2nd row has more room then the Durango by a lot. We have 2 small kids in car seats so that was attractive. It scooted along pretty good, felt pretty solid. But when Dodge announced the Tow n Go package, which basically makes it a SRT w/ the 5.7 Hemi, I knew that was what we were going after. Got to custom order all the stuff we wanted. Its gonna be a long 8 weeks! I'll definitely post pics when we get it [emoji106]

WOW... those are both sick! One of my 2 RT's is white with the red interior but I'm fighting with my son over who gets that one lol... my other is Destroyer grey with black...

@Don.b. "Hater" is my personal opinion, nothing more. I've said many times, the DD (no mater how outfitted) is not a suitable tow rig at anywhere close to the rated capacity (again, my own opinion). But I agree, and so does my wife, that the DD is a fantastic vehicle by every measure. It's enjoyable to drive, looks and sounds great, is respectably fast (R/T, and better), and is among the best road trip rigs available. The trim package you choose is purely a personal decision for what makes sense on an individual basis, not everyone shares the same perspective but we can all get along. For some even considering a DD is blasphemous...to bad for them!

Should be under warranty assuming dealer installed...but I'd first want to determine if the issue is with the shock or the install. Certainly should last longer than 8K...I can see 40K a reasonable expectation if towing at or near limit of tongue weight.
With my boat I measured tongue weight at 550 lbs. and I've towed several thousand miles and have 120K total and the load leveling shocks are still preforming like new.
Actually I just had a large load of LVP flooring in the back and the shocks did there thing while I drove from the store back home 120 miles.

15 rt vs 20 rt....
Just for fun.... this was my first dodge in 30 years of driving. I put 75k on her and only had one issue water pump at 70k which was under my extended warranty. It was a great vehicle, I’m excited for my 20 if it ever arrives lol.

Hi Long time first time! Love following.
Going to place order for T&G Octane Red but I wanted to get the Gun Metal Strips, I’m burnt out on the Blackout Look and wanted to know if anyone knows if the Hyper Black Rims would be close to the Gun Metal Strips? They don’t appear to be as Dark as the Lights Out? Can’t find a good compare and I think the colors on the Doge Website does not show the strip color correctly. Thoughts? Thanks

Just out of curiosity, I looked at many of the dealers in my area, including mine. While a couple do have 2021 Durango R/T's and GT's actually on the lot, not one has a Tow-n-Go on the lot. One or two have them "In Transit", but nothing on the lot. I checked two just now using VIN numbers. All on the lot vehicles have the Trailer - Tow Group IV at $1,195 package. As the TnG's and the 392's seemed to be held up for one reason or another, I will take it at face value.

Congrats to those picking up, holding for delivery, or ordering your T&G. For me, I'm handing off our 2018 RT and picking up the 21 T&G on Friday. FWIW, I thought I share the last work the 2018 RT put in a few days ago. Pictures: 1. Heading down, 2, loaded up (4000 lbs, trailer, and payload), and 3. back at home. For my wife and I, it confirms our decision on another one, the overall utility and size, and before the Durango unibody is gone IMO. Absolutely quiet, comfortable, and solid. On the way back, it tracked like a wolf over the pass and through snow and ice in a brutal sidewind. Cheers.
