What's up Durango gang! Yesterday I placed an order for a 2021 R/T w/ the Tow n Go package. The lease is almost up on my 2018 R/T. Its been a great vehicle, no issues what so ever. We looked at the new Explorer ST as a replacement since it's very similar. The 2nd row has more room then the Durango by a lot. We have 2 small kids in car seats so that was attractive. It scooted along pretty good, felt pretty solid. But when Dodge announced the Tow n Go package, which basically makes it a SRT w/ the 5.7 Hemi, I knew that was what we were going after. Got to custom order all the stuff we wanted. Its gonna be a long 8 weeks! I'll definitely post pics when we get it [emoji106]

I am still waiting for my T&G package since I ordered back on 10th Sept. Waiting to hear from the dealership when I can pick it up...
This is great to read, congrats. 👏

I'll also share that my broker just notified me the "destination charge" is being used. Timewise—that has my Nov 5th T&G build order on the train as of Dec 1st. After dealer offload and prep, it's being sent off to a sub for detail work to protect and personalize. Once done, a merry Xmas cold start and a test of "Snow" mode in the Rockies 😂 🎅

Simply because I know what it feels like to be in "storage", have you checked your VIN to see if the window sticker is provided? I have been told (and read on RAM forums) that once a window sticker is available, the dealer is invoiced and the vehicle should be on its way.

add your VIN to the end of the url:

BTW, that is not the window sticker for my DD, just some random one I was chedking off of a dealer website.

I still check to make sure mine is really available. LOL I have nightmares that it still comes up not available. Let's just say IH8 "JS Storage" status. My goal is to love it up as it comes for a while--Never owned a brand new vehicle in my life. Usually I keep vehjicles running by modding and maintenance myself, but this will be a "just sit back and drive" experience I am looking very much forward to.

So I was able to surf the forum more this morning. I realized what a newb I am! Saw the pruchasing thread where DD_SRT_Reactor posted his 392 and saw everyone checking status. Thank you all responding the way you did. Solid. Running/Owning a Brewpub in CO during COVID gives me very little time to sit and relax. Today I took an hour just to have coffee...

I did determine now I have a date for mine to be received at the dealer. 12-08 to 12-22. I can't wait to see what it sounds like--with no real frame of reference, I am sure I will be completely satisfied. Like a kid who doesn't know any better.

So do we know yet what exhaust it actually has? Is it the Mopar performance exhaust ? Or the srt exhaust, if there is even any difference?

Any others been able to figure out how to add a Uconnect profile? My 2021 T&G has only one default and its already annoying having 2 phones connected to the same profile. Theres video online of it having an option to add more but the option doesn't show on my screen.

The exhaust does sound good, but I agree its not very quick. Looks great though! Mine is black with red seats and red calipers. I'd throw it on the lift for an an exhaust pic but I'm too lazy at this time.

Why do I keep hearing it’s not quick lol... was it expected to be faster with the t&g or just r/t in general? Are there simple mods to help , I’m sure the 5.7 can give us more power easily?

Picked up my Red T&G tonight here in MIA. She's gorgeous! I know, I know ..... Pics coming, it's too dark outside. Any who, a few observations: Pretty much the whole dealership kept making me start her up all evening.... that exhaust note rumble is an attention grabber! I'm gonna have a lot of fun scaring the b'jesus out of kids and folks standing next to her when I start her up from yards away! Paid for the Premium leather seats. Fronts seats are great, but not as great as the leather seats I had in my '15 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I'm a bit more disappointed in the rear seats though, they feel and look for sure thinner than my former rear leather seats. I'm 5'11 and it felt like a bit of a squeeze 2nd row. Don't know how I thought those seats slide back and forth a bit after watching and reading a ton of early reviews on this. Well, she's mine now, so I'll live with it. Also, I choose the Red breaks. Thought they would say "Brembo" on them since this is not a SRT. I'll be upgrading the wheels & tires to 22's and adding my own sub soon.

What in the package did people think would make T&G faster than the R/T? Different exhaust is mostly going to make it sound different, but that is the extent of the acceleration mods. This is why I have been a T&G hater from the July announcement, looks like the SRT but has no bite.
“Hater” that’s a bit harsh IMO. The T&G provides some bits to extend the RT’s usefulness—every bit the 5k price. The “go” (stupid name certainly) was nothing more than a remap of the speed limiter—with 3.09’s mind you—to 145mph on a smooth long straight road. Further, reading other posts about “not quick” is stating the obvious for those like me who’ve owned a Durango RT (I’m turning in a 2018). Time for a reset folks, it’s an RT for gods sake, buy an SRT if you want more juice, buy a HellaDjango if you want flaming bourbon. Frankly, the T&G package is a one and done—perhaps the end of the unibody Durango entirely. And I’m grabbing one before the end as it’s a damn good do-all 6 seater, jack of all, has personality (no unicorn 🦄 farts), and now has more lug at the hitch (putting me in a safer place with my RV). In fact, my wife finds (our 2018) the best road trip’n vehicle she’s sat in...I agree. Our 2021 T&G just landed at the dealership. I’m sure it won’t disappoint us. Not for everyone that wants SRT/Hellcat or for that matter, Explorer eco ST quicks, but for some the RT is the best crossover balance considering it’s long known history, the gas pump and the new Uconnect 5.0. Btw, if it hits close to the gas average we just put on the 2018 three days ago, I’ll be happy with the 2021 for another few years before the death of the v8 as I’ve experienced it. Cheers.

not sure I even though it would be faster, if anything it's got 4" more of rolling resistance so that surely won't help it be quicker I wouldn't think? but, I do love the sound and the look of the wider stance so to me the t&g is worth it just for that. rims and tires OEM and a correct Mopar exhaust if you bought afterwards, is close to $5K anyhow without the hassle of installing and plus the other items it brings.
