I just ordered my RT today. I noticed on the build sheet it has a code of priority. Though I'm curious from the time you ordered what is your time frame or how long have you waited. Thanks

I have order sheets from 3 Dodge dealers and they go back to March 3. Some are in D1 but most are in D status even 4 of them from March 3.

Strange thing, not one order (39 of them) had cross path detection option, even a 52k GT Plus
I also noticed the 10.1 Nav is no longer standard with the GT Plus. When I was searching back in March, the GT+ models all had the 10.1 as standard.

In any case, no new Durango for my wife since options she requires are not on any of the 39 listings I have. And they are what one would think is common like cross path detection.
No dealer ordered any Citadels either which is the bargain for buyers but I can see why dealers want bigger margin trim levels.

Must be all related to the chip shortage. I heard the Ram 1500 digital rearview mirror was standard on higher trims but now it is an option because of the chip shortage.

Ordered 5/14: TNG, with all the tech and pretty much everything but rear DVD and cargo package. Still pulls no record or D status when I put in my VIN.

Newbie here, been lurking for several weeks since ordering my wife a GT plus, thought I would chime in, maybe give some of you some hope, or piss some of you off lol. We ordered a GT plus AWD with 3.6 in granite. Originally the only options we added we're perfomance hood, cross detection, and rear captains seats. That was on May 13th. Dealer called back the next day and said the cross detection was not allowed to be added and he assumed it was due to the chip shortage. He said if I had to have it we could be looking at a 2022. Not sure if it was dumb luck or what but within a few days he texted me and said it was "scheduled for assembly". From my trolling on here I was expecting it to get built then sit somewhere waiting for inspection. I texted him last Friday (just under 4 weeks since ordering) and he said it was done and should be delivered in 1-4 days. I didn't believe it but he called me Monday afternoon and said he had it and it just needed prep and fuel. It's in the driveway now, 4 weeks and three days after ordering. I am thrilled but had planned on it taking a few months and I could save for more of a down payment, but oh well. Happy wife happy life. I am basically 4 hours from Detroit in Indiana so I'm sure that helps. I get employee pricing so was pleased with the deal. Only reason we went with the plus is my wife had to have the hood. Otherwise I would have gotten one a lot cheaper, just and SXT maybe, or one off a lot. We couldn't find any with the hood in that color under 50K.

Ordered mine May 10th and was accepted on May 14th with a VIN issued. So far no change. Reactor Blue , TnG with Tech group, Blind, Sun roof, red calipers and blacktop. At this point i think i will be lucky to see it by Aug. Dodge could do a better Job on sold orders keeping us updated , but time will tell what happens. Glad to see some are getting their order fast.

Quick update , last Friday I did the Chat with dodge . They indicated they would open a tracking number and email me an update. Later on Friday i received an email from dodge indicating I was slated for production the week of July 19th. ( ordered May 10th). On Sat , my dealer emailed and informed me I was now D1 with a build date of July 20/21. Progress. Now to see how long it will take from production to delivery to CT.

I still feel Dodge could do better when you have a confirmed sale to communicate to your customers a status of a major purchase. No telling what rebates will be available when it arrives

Weird, I did the same thing and was told July 19th also. I ordered on May 15th. So waited 7 weeks weeks parts now another 2 weeks to even start building. And that's only an estimate. It can change.

Chat told me yesterday it was due to be built this month and nothing else. My salesman texted me a screenshot this morning showing me it was sequenced to build and estimated ship was 7/24. We shall see… probably another month lol. Ugh

Was already posted elsewhere on the site with the actual plant announcement.

Just spoke with Dodge Chat, they indicated indeed the factory is shut down. News says until Aug 9th- 24 days Delay from today which if all things perfect would mean my order (Original production July21) would be produced in Sept 2 .... And would it still be a 2021 model? Assuming delays in the factory getting back up to speed and workers coming back from yet another shutdown I wonder how good the Quality will be. So far this truly shows how poorly run things are, especially for Folks that committed to buying like us. I have had my loan approved 2 times now with the expectation of a mid-August delivery. They blame lack of Semiconductor chips but working directly with those companies that provide to them, they indicated FCA cancelled orders and then tried to get them back after they sold Fab capacity to other companies to support PC's and not the Automotive industry. Maybe running "Just in time models" are too risky and left FCA with their pants down. Oh well. Rant over ... for now May be @DodgeCares can give us an update?

You might want to go to the Challenger or at the very least Charger Forum. They are made in separate plants in 2 different countries, even though geographically they are only about 3 hours away from each other.

Durango's are made in JNAP (Jefferson North Assembly Plant) which is in Detroit Michigan. The Charger's and Challenger's are made in Brampton Ontario Canada. The build and delivery times are totally different as well, with the Durango's taking substantially longer than the Charger's and Challenger's currently are.
