I must ask why you would consent to them replacing the air filter, especially for $$100+, on a vehicle with such low mileage? That was a 100% cash grab/screwing they gave you.

Remember that YOU get to authorize (or not) what work is done to your vehicle. If they inferred that your warranty would be affected if it was not replaced, they are lying scumbags!

I implore everyone who pays for a mopar branded part to check what you are getting. BProAuto seems to be what dealers are using in place of mopar stuff.
this is what my Jeep dealer did to my wife's jeep. Dealer put a mopar part number on the invoice yet put a cheap ass chinese filter (BproAuto) in it.

This all might be from shoddy workmanship from the previous engine R&R?

Dodge needs to make this right since it’s all under factory warranty.

Google is your friend.
Be aware that once you lawyer up, they will be harder to work with, and it will be your lawyer talking to their team of lawyers.

Re your pic, I don't see anything melted or damaged. The overflow tank does have a pressure relief that will allow excess pressure to vent as needed.

One has to wonder if the dealer who did the engine swap got screwed by Stellantis, as that could explain (but not justify) them brushing you off. The two words honor and accountability are becoming like hens teeth these days.

Please see the attached below. Look good at it! For me, it looks like it was melted. (was it on purpose or not I don't know) .
After I cut it off, I drilled a hole in the reservoir's overflow line.

See the attached photos. After cutting the pies off, I used a drill bit to modify the hole because it was completely sealed. Please look at the pictures.

It was my first car, and I had never dealt with a dealer in my life. Now I'm learning the hard way.

That is a strange situation for sure. Since you bought it new and drove it for a good while, it obviously came off of the assembly line correctly assembled. I just have to think that whatever happened came about when the new engine was being installed.

I can see what you mean about how it appears to be melted or otherwise closed off. This whole thing is just wrong on so many levels.

Re NYC and it's surroundings, I call them places I might visit, but you won't catch me living in a place that expensive.

Hemi, I don’t know who to reach out to. I asked the lawyer to take the case to trial, but he refused. He only wanted $3,500 from Dodge for the lemon law service. After I hoped I had resolved the issues with the reservoir, I discovered another problem.

My wife tells me to sell the car before it's too late, but letting go is tough. I need to know how to test the engine properly to ensure everything is good. That way, I will keep my hopes high,h and I will keep this girl, She is fantastic <3

Guys, any advice on where I can buy that gasket? ( sorry I don't know real name of that part) View attachment 136826
I am pretty sure there are o-rings that seal it. Remove the connector and you should see the o-ring(s) I would hope Dodge has replacement o-rings as opposed to a new connector or hose.

The issue is the overflow tube is missing. It does sort of look like they melted the overflow tank closed, but could just be clogged. Here is a picture from my 2019.

Jbawden I removed the overflow tube and found that the hole was sealed with a clear hot glue gun. As a carpenter, I occasionally use hot glue myself, so I recognize the method. However, I have no evidence of who sealed it. What worries me most is how long it has been sealed and the potential damage this could cause to the track?... As mentioned a couple of posts ago, I drilled a hole in the overflow port and reinstalled the black rubber tube.

Did you check the radiator side to see if it was glued shut? Not sure why anyone would have reason to remove the bleed line from the radiator to the overflow. Based on the other leak, I'm wondering if there is some sort of very small head gasket issue that is pressurizing the system?
