So I removed the old stocker headlamps and corners super easy, less than 2 mins to remove per side. I'm thinkin this is gonna be a snap. I just didn't realize at the time what would snap is my patience. I have none left, and will take a break for the night and try again to figure out how to mount them without a 2" gap at the edges of the fenders.

I have searched the fourm for the directions for the one piecers, but no luck. would someone be so kind as to point me toward that link pretty please. TIA, and hopefully, I'll have better luck tommorrow. cold beer time starts NOW!

ok, snapped a few shots of the headlamps, there's one adjustment screw I have no idea how to get to. it needs to be screwed in to close the gap,(I'm assuming) and I can't get to it :wall:

This will sound unorthadox but it works
Remove that glue you see holding that screw in place.
Then it gets to the scary spot.here's what I did It's a 4mm socket
I took a 4mm socket heated it with my torch on the end of a fairly long extension with a nut driver handle. I gently aimed the hot socket towards the 4mm adj screw and created a path for the socket to travel. I said it was insane! It works Great though.
I believe it was Grant whom did something similar he ground down the socket to make it very small overall diameter.
Either way they're a BIATCH to get right

Thanks Steve!! knew I could depend on you guys :D That does sound crazy, but I like it! I wonder how many of these sets get sent back, poor design. Tommorrow, I'll have them in. Thanks again,

None of them Fit
Like I said you can either Grind the socket down to a miniscule amount or burn thru a pathway as I did or I guess slowly rotate the shaft of the screw from grabbing it with needle nose. Mine aren't perfect yet but they're real close

Make sure you clear the glue away so the screw turns easy. turn it slowly to get it free.

not to get off track, how's the M1 install going?
M1 is on, and running surprisingly well. LOTS of throttle response and a slight hesitation off idle. I believe the B&G flash will help that though. Pics to come when I get all the wiring harnesses redressed in new looms. Gotta look good for pics!

Steve, I'll take the glue off and be real slow about it, "feeling" for the socket to line up with the screw. Thanks again for the Idea, as I would have never thought of that as frusterated as I was.

Hey, those one we the ones I was gonna buy until I decided to buy the ones with the CCFL Halo.

The CCFL ones have 2 round lens which may be better for keeping the glare down on the HIDs.

If it weren't for the HIDs, I'd have those lights on my Durango.

Great choice!

Looks good!! You should take a look at those turn signal bulbs that have the chrome glass or the ones that have blue-tinted glass but illuminate amber still.

What he said.
I like the look of not having the visible yellow in there while parked and off. (I guess)

DCDAD,
Looks good, like some others I also have the chrome bulbs that look amber when turned on. I have noticed, However, that your drivers side headlight assembly still has a fair size gap compared to the passenger side. Actually, I purchased mine over 2 yrs ago and have a similar problem, might try and adjust before spring is over.

Seems everyone likes the chrome bulbs, I looked at them, but decided against it. Not too big of a chrome guy, I don't know, clear lens-orange bulb, kinda does something for me. might go back and get the LED bulbs-dunno. kinda like it the way it's.

The gap under the lights is due to the bumper cover being outa wack, I'll get to that for sure, too much air under there. It'll happen later. For now, I'm pullin out the PCM to sent it off to B&G, and workin on finishing the motor. Wire looms ect.

Thanks for the comments guys, my D has been waiting a long time for this :D

Lights really look nice. Actually I'd have probably gone with the regular amber bulbs too, to each his own, right?

OK off topic time (sorry.) Speaking of burn tattoos? About 15 years ago I was working at a place that reconditioned and resold office phones. Sometimes it involved resoldering PC boards. Anyway, as I was in the middle of a solder job the phone rings. Without thinking, I put the soldering iron between the first and second fingers of my left hand so I could answer it. *sizzle*? Not my finest moment. I still have the scars between my fingers to prove it.

OK, as you were, lights look great?

Wow,Sorry to hear that D-tan, Athough your story did make me laugh something about that vision. any way, I was useing a propane torch to heat up the tool used to melt the plastic, and for some unknown reason, I put my hand over the torch about 12" above the flame. for some reason I questioned the fact that even though I could see and hear the flame, aparently at the time there was still doubt in my mind that it was actually hot?yep, it was, and I'll never doubt that again. I'm smarter than that (I think) and don't have any idea why I did it. brain fart I guess.

I'm still on my original pair of clear corner turn signal dealies (second Durango they've been on), and I just use clear bulbs. I know its "technically" illegal, but I've never had a problem with any police. They look great all clear, and the cheap clear bulbs are like a $1 a pair.
