Im changing oil on my 2013 Durango R/T. All resources say filter should be Fram XG2 which i happen to have. Suprisingly this doesnt match what was put on my car by dealer. It has a longer filter only 3 inches in diameter versus the xg2 which is 3 5/8. Can anyone tell me why this is incorrect, other than welcome to Dodge? Also lower radiator hose hits the xg2 but main problem is threads are a different size and will NOT thread on. Please let me know what you are using specifically if you have the 2013 R/T ???

The XG2 is Fram's "better" filter for the 5.7 HEMI. It should thread on with no issues .... as long as you have the filter lined up with the filter housing.
Or, you can use the Mopar MO-899 or the Mobil1 M1-210 if you'd like a filter that a lot of people regard as being better made than Fram filters.
